This is much bigger than it looked in the photo. I mainly purchased it because it looked less bulky than others on the market and might be able to avoid drilling new holes in my house, but that was not the case. It is a good quality camera, easy to hook into your existing doorbell, and has good range. You can set zones so that it doesn’t notify of a passing car or someone just walking by, only when they enter your property. My pet peeve is that it calls you when someone rings the bell, I would rather have a notification and open the device in the app to see who’s there. 2 way audio is available that way so not sure why the call is needed. There’s no way to turn it off either unless you turn off the chime too, so that could be improved. Otherwise it gets the job done

I have just a little less that 2 weeks left on my initial trial and staring to have some mechanical issues, (second issue called in) with the door bell in the form of internal noise inside the devise that is leaving the noise on all recordings subsequent! And the difficulty with the follow the step by step manual fix procedures of customer service, and the language accent of the off shore cs/“tech support” is getting very much annoying (no disrespect to the people of that nation intended)! I fault the manufacturer for not wanting the best help on the very first customer call! There is cheap, and then there is first quality! I need quality help or it’s going back in the return box! Please give me some quality technical service!!! Thank you!Updated review: Arlo Customer Care is going to replace the door bell camera with a new unit and I received a call this morning from Jessica in their Custormer Care office in San Jose, CA letting me know that she will send me an email when it is shipped! I like it, works great, video quality is clear and crisp. I bought this as a replacement to the first version and I like this one a bit better, hope it lasts longer, 1st version only lasted 2 years.

Very happy with the purchase of the Arlo Video Doorbell (2nd Generation). Installation took less than an hour - you can choose battery power or wired connection. The video quality is excellent even at night, the sound is two-way, the connection works reliably. Notifications come instantly, and the app is intuitive. I especially like the built-in siren and the ability to see guests directly from the phone. I recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable video doorbell with a good picture and convenient functionality

I’ve been using the Arlo Home Security System for a few weeks and I’m really happy with it. The setup was quick and easy, the video quality is great (even at night), and the mobile app makes it super convenient to monitor everything remotely. I bought two of these doorbell cameras and three of the 5SPro cameras. Everything worked fine until the trial subscription ran out. Now all I get is movement detected notifications. I can look at live feeds but, no recordings. I called Arlo and they tell me that I need to have a subscription to get recordings. They say you don't need a subscription, but they don't tell you without one, your cameras won't record. Cameras are basically useless to me now. What a scam.

Set up was super simple. Takes about 15 minutes and the app walks you through everything. Has two way audio so you can talk to whoever is at the door whether you’re home or not and the motion alerts have been quick and accurate. It also works with Alexa and Google assistant, which is a nice bonus. The video quality is sharp, even at night, and I love the square view—you can see packages on the ground and even the person at the door. Plus, you can pinch to zoom right in from your phone, which is super handy when you want a closer look. The only thing I don’t really like has been how expensive the subscription is. It’s $20 to $30 a month to continue with cloud recording and action notifications. Otherwise it’s a solid doorbell camera—reliable, smart, and easy to use.
