I am surprised at how robust the steel tubing is. It is stainless steel which is virtually rust-proof, plus the wall thickness of the tubing is robust to make for a good, stiff rake. No flexing to speak of and the joints are absolutely tight.The plastic head is also pretty robust in construction, albeit plastic. The tines or bristles are soft and flexible. Of course the soft tines are the point of this rake as it is supposed to be gentle on whatever material is being raked. Most rakes the tines are fairly tough and not suitable for use on surfaces that cannot resist abuse.The soft bristles are the only weak link in this product, and if abused I expect the bristles will eventually break off, but the rest of the product is built tough. In fact, when years from now the bristles have broken off or the head has broken from simply long-term wear and tear, I will retain the excellent stainless steel handle for use as an extension pole for painting and the like. It is superior to a paint roller extension handle that I purchased designed for that purpose!Overall, though at first glance the thirty dollar price tag seems a bit high, the very high-quality handle will last for decades and is versatile for other purposes, perhaps with a bit of resourceful modification. The plastic head is built tough, as are the stainless bolts and nuts that attach it. The quality of this product seems uncompromised, earning it five stars.

The bristles on this are nice and stiff, so they work well on pulling back turf blades of grass that have begun to lie flat. We also have two large dogs that shed constantly, and this really does help pull up the fur from the carpet. I like that it has a long handle, so you're not bent over while raking. Too often, these types of products have short handles, which can lead to a sore back. Two suggestions for future product updates: have the bristles angled slightly to help achieve extra pullback on turf and fur; have an even wider head to cover a larger area at once. We have a large pushbroom we were using to fluff up the turf, and its head is much wider so covers a larger area. Overall, though, this is a really handy rake.

Handle is extremely well-made not only does it pressure fit It screws together as well. It does a good job but It’s still hard to get all the stuff out of the artificial turf.

First thing I noticed was how sturdy the metal pole was. Usually these screw together poles are thin and cheap. I was pleasantly surprised at how thick and tough these were.It rakes fine easy to use.Happy with this purchase.

I've tried blowers, other rakes but nothing works as well as this rake on our artificial turf like this one. We have so many tiny pine cones and needles and we love how neat our grass looks! Nice quality and seems like it will last for years!

I recently received this "Artificial Turf Rake with Adjustable Steel Handle from 32 to 61 Inch, Durable Carpet Rake, Turf Brush for Artificial Grass, Pet Hair, Leaves and Debris" and it's pretty much exactly the tool I thought it would be - a "soft" rake for the artificial grass I'm using in my pup's private yard.This rake was easy to assemble and only took a couple of minutes to go from "delivered" to "in use." The rake isn't a typical gardening tool and seems primarily intended as a "brush" for the faux grass fibers, helping them regain their upright positioning after being pressed flat. I'm using it to "fluff up" the grass after spraying it with an enzymatic cleanser on a weekly basis, and it's doing a pretty nice job keeping the rug looking as it should.I don't know how long it will hold up as the "bristles" (tines, technically) do not seem as durable as the rest of the tool. The handle, for example, feels like it will be around long after I've turned to dust, and even the plastic head (where the tines are connected), which is plastic, feels like it will withstand the elements and ravages of time as well as any industrial-strength gardening equipment should. The tines, on the other hand, are a lot softer, which makes sense given the intended purpose of the tool, but of its parts and pieces, the part that does the actual "work" is the only part I think may not hold up. Only time will tell.In all, I have no complaints about this turf rake and am pretty pleased with it so far. The rake was priced at $29.99 when I placed my order, and given that I've never used a manual turf rake before, I have no real basis for comparison regarding its value for the money. It seems reasonably priced to me, so I am happy to recommend it to others.
