I have been wanting to try the stainless steel soap. Theses were a good price and came with their own holders. The stainless soap feels like a bar of soap when using it. And it does reduce and get of odors. The little holders sits nicely on my sink.

I ordered this for a friend who does a lot of fishing and cooking with garlic and onions. He likes this product. He has one in his kitchen and one in his bathroom.

I was a bit suspicious, but this really works. I used some "stink-bait" when fishing, then used this stainless steel soap and it removed virtually all of the smell. Same after cutting onions a few days later. I'm sold on it.UPDATE: I've had this for several months now, and it still amazes me how well it works. Just yesterday I went fishing and used some catfish blood bait (stink bait) which is next to impossible to use without getting it all over your hands. And then your hands STINK to high heaven. And, catching catfish and removing them from the hook also leaves a distinct aroma. This stainless steel soap immediately removes the smell with just a few seconds of rubbing.I strongly recommend this for fishermen - whether it's the bait or the fish that leave your hands smelling, this will remedy it.

The Steel Soap Bar piqued my curiosity, given its unique and unconventional approach to tackling stubborn kitchen odors. Anyone who regularly dices onions, crushed garlic, or handles other strong-smelling ingredients knows the struggle of lingering scents that seem impossible to rid from your hands. Traditional soaps often need to catch up in this department, but this product promises a quick and eco-friendly solution. After multiple uses, I can confidently attest to its efficacy. Just a few rubs under cold running water and those strong, unpleasant odors vanished, leaving my hands feeling and smelling fresh. The science behind this involves the stainless steel's ability to bind with sulfur molecules, often the culprits behind those pungent smells. Its minimalist design is another point in its favor. The Steel Soap Bar is a sleek, compact addition to any kitchen, occupying minimal space next to the sink. Plus, given its material, it's incredibly durable, ensuring it'll be a long-standing kitchen companion. While it won't completely replace traditional soap in terms of cleaning, it fills a specific niche and does so exceptionally well. For those who spend much time in the kitchen and are looking for a solution to stubborn hand odors, I highly recommend giving the Steel Soap Bar a try. It's not only a conversation starter but also a testament to the idea that, sometimes, simplicity yields the best results.

The first time I heard about these stainless steel 'soaps' was about 30 years ago when I saw one in a friend's kitchen. It sounded like some weird scam item and I didn't believe it would actually work so I never tried it. I like to cook with a lot of onions and garlic and over the last few years I've really noticed my hands still reek of onions/garlic when I go to bed even after washing my hands multiple times. I started seeing more and more of my friends talking about using these stainless steel soaps so I finally did some checking into this and discovered that these are supposed to actually work. Okay... I'll go ahead and risk it since it doesn't cost very much.Yesterday, I cut up a very stinky onion while making dinner. It was very pungent and it would have normally left my hands really stinky. When I was done prepping, I reached for this little metal ball. I confess, I wasn't sure whether I was supposed to use soap with it, so when I washed my hands I used both dish soap (like I usually do) and also used this metal soap at the same time. After washing my hands, I didn't smell ANY onion on them at all. Even when I laid down in bed with my hands near my face, I smelled NO onion stink on them. I'm very pleased with the way this worked. My only negative is that the little soap dish holder that comes with it doesn't actually drain. When I picked up the metal soap a few hours later, there was still a pool of water under it in the soap dish. The little drain hole has a ridge that stops water from actually draining through it so I won't bother using the holder in the future.
