Onions, canned tuna fish, citrus... Wash your hands with this thing rolling around in your hands and no lingering smell!

Why did it take me so long to buy this?! It really works! So much so that I bought more to give as stocking stuffers to relatives. I peeled a bunch of garlic the other day and it totally removed the smell from my hands. It also worked on removing the smell on my hands after eating a very onion-y sub sandwich. I've seen these advertised for years but was wary of them actually working. They work. I'm converted.

I am a skeptic. I'm dubious. I question everything. I look at people with that "I don't quite believe you but I'll listen to you and try it out myself, no matter how good you say something is" look. I didn't believe this little silver disc would work. There's no soap. How could it work? There's no cleanser. There's no chemicals. This does not compute in my rational brain. So last night I was cutting up onions and this little disc was staring me in the face. I cut my onion in a chopper so I was mostly hands off, save the peeling. I thought to myself, Ok, this little disc says it eliminates these odors, I'm gonna give it a run for it's money. I took the onion pieces, including the juicy parts, and squeezed them in my hand. I rubbed them allllll over. I then had my stepdaughter smell my hand. Her face told the story. My hand STUNK. It was all kinds of oniony smelling. I told her ok, let's try this "magic" little silver stone... I rubbed it gently over my hand... not excessively, but like I would with a bar of soap. I rinsed and smelled my hand and was wide eyed as I smelled nothing. I was then skeptical of my own nose. Was this a very good placebo? Did I convince myself it worked? I had my stepdaughter smell it and she was amazed. Still dubious, I approached my husband who was unaware of my scheme. I had him smell my hand and asked if he smelled anything. He said no and asked if he was supposed to. I told him I rubbed onion all over my hand moments before. He said well you can't smell it at all. I explained the disc and he was impressed. As am I. I'm thrilled to find something that ACTUALLY meets the hype for once.

Where have you been all my life? All those onion, garlic smells that clung to my hands. Nothing worked for me, I tried all the usual and unusual methods. And, then I heard about these stones.People really need to read about products before they buy them. Yes, this is small, 2 1/2 in by 1 3/4 in by 0.6 cm by 4 1/2 cm. However, all you need to do is wet your hands, apply soap and place this stone in your palm while you wash your hands. The stainless steel acts as the odor remover. However you must use soap and water for the best results. It will not fail, if you use it as recommended. No, it is not too small, it should fit in the palm of your hands, and then use it and dry your hands. Simple, very simple.I have purchased several of these to give as stocking stuffers. This is something most people do not purchase for themselves.Recommended. prisrob 12-10-15

This works well and truly does remove odors from your hands. I got it due to my sensitivity to perfumes and colognes and since I am also a beauty junkie I frequently end up touching something fragrant-whether it be a sample from one of a gazillion beauty boxes I subscribe to or try a new body lotion or spray that I end up hating and then the smell.......WILL. NOT. LEAVE. YOUR. SKIN. This little gem takes care of it sometimes you need to do more than one wash with it but no soap needed and done!

This is a MUST HAVE for anyone who fancies themselves a homecook. I love cooking with onions and garlic in everything I make. The one thing I HATED about cooking with onions and garlic was the way my hands would smell for hours on end after cooking and washing my hands. I had heard about using stainless steel "soap" before and didn't believe it would do much of any help. Lo and behold, this soap works and works WELL. I just rub it against my hands under water for about 20 seconds and the smell goes away! I haven't noticed any smell staying behind on the soap but I'm sure if it does start to smell like onions and garlic, I can wash it.

I was a little dubious about whether or not this would really work, but it really does take the smell off my hands - right after I sliced and cut onions or garlic. The next day I still had a slight smell on my hands, but I think it was actually coming out of my pores from eating onion and garlic. There were others with different sizes and shapes, but I settled on this one b/c it is the same size as a bar of soap. Worked well!

I was super hopeful about this product since I'm very fussy about the way my hands smell, especially in restaurants, which often use surprisingly nasty-smelling soap. I thought I could just carry it in my purse and use it after washing my hands. It really doesn't work, though. I've tried an aluminum one in the past that made my hands smell like aluminum, then faded after a few minutes taking the soap smell with it, but I try to avoid aluminum products so I was hoping this one would have a similar effect. It has pretty much zero effect. I wanted to give two stars because I like the shape but there's no point if it doesn't work for me.It fell out of my pocket while I was waiting to catch a plane and the flight attendant happened to see it and bring it on the plane just before takeoff- she was like, "Did anyone lose a metal... soap.. thing?" And everyone gave me funny looks after I claimed it. Too bad I couldn't tell them how great it was for removing odors.
