The survival cord is eight times stronger than steel by weight, with a thermal decomposition threshold of 930 degrees Fahrenheit, and is resistant to acids, alkalis and seawater. While Technora Survival Cord is abrasion resistant, it has a low creep and low thermal shrinkage with excellent dimensional stability; the main benefit of ASR Outdoor Technora 950lb Survival Cord is that it is stronger and more durable than standard 550lb paracord, at less than half the diameter.

DIMENSIONAL STABILITY

HEAT AND FATIGUE RESISTANCE
Technora cord has a thermal decomposition threshold of 930F, so Technora can be used at 392F for long periods. At 482F, it maintains more than half of its room-temperature tensile strength.

Incredibly strong and fire resistant. I have not tried it at 900lbs, but it's tough.
