The throw line is too stiff and edges are a little rough to the touch, used with the launcher it slows the bag down when it comes out of the storage container or when thrown. The throw line has too much memory and is hard to get it to flatten out. It may be a good price but not if you have to put so much work into it to straighten the line out.

I'd have to agree with some of the other reviews about stiffness, tangles easy, and not good for a throw line. I haven't tried to use it in my launcher, but would imagine it doesn't run well? I usually splice the ends of my throw line and was unable to do it on this stuff. Mine didn't come on a spool or anything, and even being careful to unwind it, still became a birds nest. I got it mainly because of the price and was wanting a cheap line to replace my "true" throw line with. Then I can leave it in the tree to prepare for the next day at work and not lose too much sleep if it got stolen. So, it will work for me in that sense. If you are wanting a "true" throw line? I have tried these and they all work well... Acculine, Dynaglide, Jet-Set, or Zing-It. Stay Safe!

Same color and diameter as 1/8" Dynaglide, but much fewer & coarser strands makes this line stiff and relatively rough. Half the strength too, but half the cost and still strong. For non-arborist camping applications, I prefer Amsteel or Dynaglide.

Within a first few throws line started to melt and break. Has too much stretch. Not worth it.

....rigid and stiff. If you're looking for something flexible, look elsewhere.
