I purchased this in order to replace another one that was several years older. The quality of materials and workmanship have gone down considerably. Also, the thermometer is completely inaccurate with deviations in temperature readings as much as 50°.I needed a thermometer that has the ability to read temperatures as low as -76°F, and unfortunately, this is one of the few on the market. Sadly, they just don’t make them like they used to.

Giving it. A 4 becuase it states that it comes with a 9v batteries but it came with 2 aaa batteries..also it states it auto shut off in 5 sec. But it took about 10-15 sec
