Buying this to replace a 6 wheeled plastic creeper I bought from Walmart. That creeper broke both its middle wheels. I'm not such a big guy. I was just too disappointed how flimsy the plastic was, that I decided not to be so cheap and buy a metal creeper. Anyway, this product is heavy and seemingly well built. Rolls really smooth. It also does keep you almost close to the floor but at the same time provides some good cushion. Converting it to a rolling seat is a big plus. Time will tell if it is durable. It looks very promising. It looks exactly the same as a very popular brand for a slightly lower price. Assembly was simple, just attach the wheels and you're done.

My husband and I do not buy the traditional anniversary gifts for each other and the 3-1 Creeper was one of my gifts to him this year. Out of all the gifts, my husband can't stop talking about how perfect the 3-1 Creeper is for him. He has already used the Z-Creeper to replace the starter on our 1961 Massey-Ferguson tractor. Now, my husband wants to buy another 3-1 Creeper, so I can help him restore our 1964 1/2 Convertible Mustang and 1972 Chevy Truck. The 3-1 Creeper is very well built, very well designed, and it converts easily from one configuration to another.

Easy to assemble, delivered on time, product seems sturdy and will likely do the job.I gave this 2 stars because the quality seems a bit suspect. There are spots with surface rust and an area that was under painted (see pictures). If the manufacturer or seller wants to offer a resolution I'm open to updating my review.

Very sturdy, the caster hardware is high quality and the wheels are made of a tough rubber and not hard plastic so it rolls quietly and smoothly. The only assembly needed on delivery was to bolt the 6 casters on. The casters all have open bearing races, while this makes them easy to maintain for relubrication as needed it also means that if you use it in a dusty/dirty environment the bearings will get dirty quickly and thus likely cease working nicely very quickly unless you religiously clean and lubricate them. Over all I would have preferred sealed bearings. The "Z" position on mine does not quite "click" lock into place, it seems something isn't quite lining up with the pins that snap into place in that position but it doesn't affect the ability to use it in that position much due to the way it is designed. One star for that but it may just be a manufacturing issue with mine and not something that they all suffer from. For the money I can't detract more stars for this, but this product is made in China, and I wish products such as this especially bulky ones would have been made in Canada or the USA this day in age.

I was considerink knocking off 1 star since it was received minus a washer and nylock nut for mounting one of the casters. But, that was easy enough to remedy so I'll stick to the unit itself. It is low profile and the seat makes a nice headrest. Best part was converting into shop stool using 2 spring loaded pins. When in the shop stool position it fits and stores nicely beneath my garage shelving. That compactness makes it a lot easier to store or pull out for use. Since I do a bit of TIG welding, the stool height is ideal for letting me put my foot on the welder foot control. I was very happy to have given my old flat unit to my son.

I used to be a "throw a sheet down, if any" type of mentality. I'm not a professional mechanic but for this old body this product is great. The fact that I can use this as a chair also is what gives it one and a half more stars. Very easy to roll and convert into the different positions. Seems to be well made...so far. The wheels are set out more than the width of the creeper which makes it very stable, even in the chair mode when leaning to pick up that tool. Very welcome addition to my garage!

In response to DB62's (12/7/14) e-mail question that got moved. 39"= length of padding, bottom & middle sections = 12 1/2" wide, top/seat 14" wide. I don't have a lot of experience with these type of wheels (maybe 12 different sets) as I usually don't like them. As you probably know quality makes an enormous difference in operation. These wheels are the best/tied for the best I have ever owned. With that said I have not used them long enough to know how they will hold up to long term use and abuse. In general (for others) Great creeper: low profile = super, multi-configurations = now a "wouldn't do without" but I had to do a little bending to get one of the spring pins to work properly, vinyl & padding seem ok = so jury still out on this one. I found the price questionable, perhaps high, in my research, but without being able to compare hands on, what looked extremely similar but for half the price may have been of inferior quality. While normally that would have led to more research I wanted it now and was willing to bite the bullet. After the fact all is AOK with me. The welding isn't the greatest but seems solid enough. The one caveat is the paint job was very bad. (That and the price question account of the removal of one star). Several spots were under sprayed and some actually bare, one weld had completely surface rusted. So, treated, primed, and re-paint shouldn't be necessary on a "top end/pricey/high quality" product (relative to the competition on Amazon) IMO.

I received the creeper/stool on time nothing was missing, it was very simple to put together, compared to a number of creepers I've had over the last 25 years this one I like the best, it's strong it's sturdy and for a person over 250 pounds I feel very comfortable and stable to use. I give this item of five star for everything
