With our do-it-yourself ALU-FIX rim repair set, you can repair visual damage such as scuffs, kerb scratches and small stone chips in no time - without having to purchase new rims.
It's that simple and quick:
Step 1:
First clean the rim with a rim cleaner and let the rim dry well.
Step 2:
Use the rough side of the sandpaper to smooth out any unevenness on the damaged area. Use the fine water sandpaper to sand the area again, then clean the area with the alcohol cleaning cloth.
Step 3:
Now mix the two components well with the plastic spatula until they become a grey mass. Use the plastic spatula to apply the grey repair compound to the damaged area.
Step 4:
When the compound has hardened well, sand the area to the contours of the rim with the coarse and fine sandpaper. Now clean the sanded area. Apply the paint thinly and evenly with the built-in brush.

Maybe I just didn't have the patience to use this correctly but it was extremely hard to get the glue to sit flat in the narrow gouges I had in my aluminum wheels and the "base metal" paint i.e. nail polish that is included did not match the base metal of my wheels very well at all. It looks like grey/silver flat paint and my wheels are just straight aluminum alloy. I tried to remove it all later and I'm left with the yellowish filler glue that I can't get rid of.

This product worked as I hoped for small curb scratch. Only needed to find paint to match but used a black and it did a good job to make this very unnoticeable. Very happy, recommend to help save money on a new rim.

The actual product was high quality. Unfortunately the amount of chrome/silver paint was minusculeas if the paint ran out before complying with the 5 ml amount that was suppose to be sent. Alsonoticed the thoughtfulness effort that was placed as well as other paraphernalia to insure that the jobwould be successful.Again my main complain: The amount of paint was very small and not the 5 ml amount that was supposeto be sent. thanks

Could have better instructions, particularly state to be very stingy in the use of the epoxy. You only need to cover the surface of the scratches. Using too much required a lot of sanding to result in a smooth and flat surface against the wheel.

Die Felgenreparatur in der Werkstatt war mir zu teuer, deshalb habe ich dieses Set gekauft. Die Beschreibung ist ok und das Video dazu auch. Das Video unbedingt vorher anschauen! Das Set war schon zwei Tage nach der Bestellung da. Meine Alufelge sah vorher durch einige Bordsteinrempler nicht mehr gut aus. Zuerst bin ich gut mit Felgenreiniger drüber und habe mit dem ALU-FIX Felgen-Reparaturset losgelegt. Ich habe die Reparaturstelle gut sauber gemacht, bin auch mit dem Alkoholpad drüber, das Füllmaterial gut gemischt, dünn!!! aufgetragen, mindestens eine Stunde trocknen lassen und konnte es dann gut schleifen, nochmal sauber gemacht, Lack drüber, gut trocknen lassen und es hält immer noch. Beim Schleifen vorsichtig sein, weil dabei die Felge schnell verkratzt. Am besten neben die Reparaturstelle ein Abdeckband kleben! Das sollten die noch in das Set packen. Hätte ich noch mehr abgeschliffen dann würde es noch besser aussehen. Der Silberlack im Set hat zu meiner Felgenfarbe super gepasst. Wenn die Felgenfarbe stärker abweicht, dann muss man sich im Fachhandel einen extra Lack besorgen. Natürlich habe ich jetzt keine neue Felge, aber ich habe mir die Neuanschaffung gespart und die Felge sieht für relativ wenig Geld nachher wieder gut aus. Es ist noch was übrig für die nächste Reparatur.
