About this item

  • Fits and replace Polaris 360, 380 pool cleaner sand and silt bag 9-100-1015
  • Great bag for trapping very fine particles of sand and silt.
  • Great for desert area pools during windy seasons
  • Filters down to 100-125 microns, make pool floor and water is much cleaner
  • Same fabric, weave, Velcro, snap-in plastic attachment as Polaris

This sand and silt replacement bag is a reusable sand/silt bag that fits the the Polaris 360/380 Pool Cleaner. The bag is made from a finer mesh than the all purpose bag so that it can pick up very fine sand and dust from your swimming pool. It is great for using in desert area pools during windy seasons .

After the heavy windstorms in my area, my pool had a dusting of windblown silt (fine dirt) on its floor. I bought these bags to remove it, per the supplier's description. My Polaris pool sweep 380 passed over heavy accumulations of this silt, and not one grain was retained in the bag. Instead, a plume of silt passed up through the bag and back into the pool water. The weave of the cloth from which the bag is made is too coarse to do its job as a silt filter. It does pick up leaves, but that is small comfort, since there are better choices for this job. These bags were a waste of money!! Don't make the same mistake I did.

This bag is well made. It fits our pool cleaner as it should. I like to use these bags as we have a lot of fine dust in our pool. The wind blows a lot and carries dust from who knows where and deposits too much of it in our pool. These bags trap more of it than a regular filter bag. Our pool is much cleaner using these bags.

Nice alternative to a zipped bag… it did what it was suppose to do…. any issue is the Velcro seal can be hard to open

Very happy to see that it picks up the fine dirt in the pool, was nervous that the leaves and sticks would rip the lining but so far it has held without issue.

The price on the real Polaris sand and silt bag has become absurdly high. This bag is priced at what this sort of product seems to be worth, and it works! The plastic clips always fail on my Polaris bag after a few years in the pool. That makes the bag fall off. The clips on this bag seem just as strong as on a new Polaris bag. The mesh seems pretty similar, but not as fine. It still catches a lot of smaller particles and does a good job collecting crud. The velcro works just as well as the Polaris bag. This bag does not have quite as much capacity as the Polaris bag. The shape is the same, but it doesn't expand out to the sides as much when it fills up. This is not a problem unless you have loads of leaves in your pool every day - you might have to empty it a bit more often?I'd always bought the original Polaris sand and silt bags, but no more. This was less than one third the price for 95% of the function! It would have to last 1/3 of the time of Polaris bag to be a bad deal. Thank you ATIE!UPDATE: The velcro only lasts about 6 months. All the fuzz has come off and it will not seal at all. So, hey, the plastic that breaks on the Polaris is still good on this big, but the bag is completely useless after 6 months anyway. The hunt continues. The Polaris bag lasts about 2 years for $35, and this lasted 6 months for $10. It's not really much of a win after all.

I have ordered these replacement bags over the years from this seller. My last purchase came with an area not sewn correctly and had a couple inch opening. I didn't notice it until I used it once. Contacted seller and they quickly sent out a replacement. These sand and silt bags pick up everything. I only wish they had a zipper like the newer Polaris bags, but work equally as well.

An exact and perfect replacement. I live in the Tropics with several shrubs and trees around my pool, so needless to say have plenty of leafs, small branches, tweeds, seeds, little fruits, pollen and debris. My Polaris 360 Pool Vac resides full time inside of my in-ground concrete pool and works 4 hours a day, 365 days a year. This bag its excellent to catch all the debris on the bottom of the pool during the non leafs falling months of the year, specially all the fine dirt. On the leafs falling month the amount of left and debris on the bottom its incredible, so for those hectic two to three weeks, I first use a larger leafs bag to cope with that volume and two hours later replace it with this one bag to pick-up all the small particles and finish the cleaning job. Life expectancy of this bag should be a year to year and a half, had to replace mine at the ten month mark due to a side puncture by a small branch when the bag was ultra-packed with leaves since didn't clean it for 4 days (illness). After over a decade of running pool vacs, my experience has been that Pool Vac bags last between 12 to 18 months since the chlorine, emptying, cleaning and washing the bag does take a toll on the fabric and velcro life.
