Perfect replacement on my early 2008 F350 Super Duty. No issues.You do need the tool to release the split-ring inside the collar on two pipes on one side of the filter. I bought Lisle 39660 Transmission Oil Cooler Line Scissor, 3/8 x 1/2-Inch here at the same time. Use firm pressure directly inwards with the tool. As far as it goes in. Then pull the pipe out.

The amazon price for this filter was $130.00 less than the Ford dealer and $60.00 less than my local auto parts store.No exaggeration. No BS. I reviewed this already but am not sure it went thru so here I am again. I am doing this edit because I forgot to mention that the Lisle 39660 tool is needed to install this filter. Amazon sells it at a great price.Due to a hand injury I had a local trusted shop change this filter for me. I noticed the mechanic had a plastic tool so I offered him my metal Lisle tool to use. He loved it! He ordered one from amazon as well.The tool use here is for a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty 6.4 diesel Truck, automatic transmission. Hopes this helps.

fits my 2008 F250 superduty 4x4 exactly,looks identical,i needed a 19mm for one side and the Lisle 39960 transmission line remover tool for the other side,it will unlock the ring that holds the line secure in the filter,a must have for about $10
