Had this box for not even 24 hours and already from upgrading to it from the prior enclosure I had, it sounds crystal clear & hits all the notes in a much smoother, crisper sound. The quality of the box seems pretty good! I have it 4/5 stars due to one thing I did notice. One of the nails holding in the piece for the internal port wall was poking thru the wood, but not enough, or in a way to make me worried. The subwoofer cutout is almost spot on. Usually boxes I’ve had in the past will have play and be hard to mount, but this had maybe a total of 1/8” of gap around the sub total between the cutout and the woofer housing. Definitely a plus. Will be updating as time goes on, but if you’re someone curious about this box and wanna pull the trigger on it, I say go for it.

Well, if you look at the last two images, you will see where my sub (Toro Force 12) powered by a RF p1000x2 @ 2 ohms, literally ripped itself out of my first box a Qbomb 12 ported. Yeah...never had that happen in my life! I was impressed and upset all at the same time. So after doing some research I found the Atrend 12" SPL box. It was close to optimal size ( I did line the inside with polyfil as you can see in the first two images. This brought it to about 2.5-2.6 cu. ft internally. This box is KILLER! The response is outstanding! I currently have it running the Force 12 however stepped up my amp to the SKAR 2000.1. With the gain at nominal and the head unit setting the sub output to -1 it still kills it! I am more than happy with this box. Now, I did reinforce the walls with screws all the way around (Hey, I like to go the extra mile...) to make sure there were no kind of issues, but honestly, don't even think I needed to. Soundly assembled and the method they use is quite impressive. I am more than satisfied with Atrend and the box they build.

Bought this prefab because it's the only vented enclosure that's the exact specs, for the infinity kappa 1200......for those that don't understand the world of car audio, I'd rather the hole be too small than too big. If the box is not the specs your sub calls for don't waste your money because that is all you are doing. I have been dealing with car audio for over 25 years and owned my own shop, having said all that, I modified the hole, mounted the subwoofer, and BANG!! SHE BOOMS!!. This is before I've upgraded my charging system, and I have a superb EQ in the dash to fine tune it. I am impressed. Satisfied with my purchase.

Very well built awesome box got a 12 inch cerwin vega pro in it and it literally makes it sound lyk 2 subs. I used to have it in the recommended box at 1.50 cu ft slot ported and it was good it was jus loud when i upgraded to this it became louder and also it vibrates my car even more its not just loud to the eardrums you can actually feel it in your chest to your throat. All in all if u got a sub that could jus make it in this because I heard some subs sound like crap in it then this box will do wonders for you. I would highly recommend this box if you dont have the money and resources to do a bigger setup.

Well, after reading reviews I decided to take a chance on this box. Terrible idea. I ordered this with a reasonable sub (Alpine Type-R) and after 2 days I hear an absolutely terrible distortion. At first I think I have my amp tuned to high so I take a look, its only about a quarter of the way. Nope, that isn't the issue. I put my hand in front of the port and don't feel any air. I decide to put my hand in and find out that the wood piece that chambers the air out of the port has cracked and is being held by an inch of carpet. Anyways, I strongly recommend just going to your local Stereo shop and just buying a box from them. Never again :/

I decided to take a gamble on this enclosure recently due to accidentally damaging the terminal cup on my sealed enclosure. The enclosure I replaced was a Scosche Se12 (also purchased from Amazon) with 1.25 cu ft sealed footprint.Initial thoughts on this box is that the quality of workmanship happened to be shoddy. The corners at the bottom of the enclosure had the carpet already close to being worn off and exposing the MDF. The terminal cup appeared to be so tightly screwed and rapidly thrown in there that none of the screws were actually flush. All of the inside seams had sealed beading, but they were not uniform in any way. Some had too much sealant and some had too little. One of the corners had an excess of sealant in an attempt to mask an exposed staple. It ended up making that one spot look bad.The packaging was basically this enclosure in a cardboard box. The packaging on the Scosche enclosure had much more care involved - it was placed inside of two boxes, had the company's logo on a paper that was taped to the enclosure itself and then wrapped in plastic to make sure the carpet wasn't damaged. The Atrend enclosure itself was pretty basic -- no polyfill used on the interior, no internal pre-wiring. The Se12 had everything included to wire your speaker up immediately -- including Polyfill applied to the interior of the enclosure and pre-wiring already set up on the inside of the terminal cups. The pre-wiring may be a good or bad thing, depending on personal preference. In my case, I didn't mind cutting some new monster cable speaker wire and wiring it up myself. It made me absolutely sure I was using high quality thick-gauge speaker wire. Having to cut, crimp and wire everything ended up adding to the time needed to change out my subwoofer though. This Atrend happens to be 2.00 sq ft ported, which sits perfectly with my Soundstream T5-12. Their recommended enclosure size for ported applications happened to be 2.00 sq ft exactly.Once everything was mounted I was impressed with the sound quality and output of this enclosure. It's performance definitely bumped it up a star on my review. With the same receiver, amp and power settings this enclosure definitely cleaned up sound. It's inherent efficiency over a sealed enclosure provided more output; all things being equal. My ratings are below:Sound Quality: 4/5Efficiency: 4/5Value: 3/5Craftsmanship: 2/5Appearance: 3/5
