I have been using pillow protectors for years to reduce micro allergens transferring in/out of the pillow. I understand that there are little creatures called dust mites who like to live in bedding if they can get into so a barrier is needed. Most of the protectors I have been using are scratchy and crinkley underneath of the pillow case and are annoying. Those uncomfortable ones cost less than a fifth of what these Airley protectors do but they are so much worse. I don't know anything about the special tercel wood fiber material used in these but it doesn't feel like wood at all. As long as it creates a hypoallergenic barrier and is comfortable that is what matters. These are super comfortable. They also allow enough air to pass through that they don't fill up like a balloon. I suppose the manufacturer has figured out exactly the right space between fibers to keep out the creatures and dust but lets air breathe through. My only suggestion for the product would be to put the inside out kind of zipper on it so that the zipper pull handle thing can go inside of the pillow case to not be felt when sleeping on it.

This product really sparked my interest. I have complained about the quality of pillow protectors available and always said I would pay for a better product if it were offered. First, the size was not very clearly, but I assumed this would be a single/standard pillow and that was the case. I have king pillows on my bed, but I am a side sleeper and always have a standard pillow to aid in side-sleeping. I replaced the protector on my current standard pillow and was first struck at how similar this was to the cover that came with the shredded memory foam pillow I was using. I looked up that pillow to see what the material was on the cover and its listed as polyester. Side-by-side I cannot tell any difference in this pillow protector and polyester. The "softer than silk" claim is completely wrong! I have used nothing but pure mulberry silk pillowcases for years and saying this is softer than silk is totally false. Its not a bad cover and I am sure it will soften with use, but I cannot at this time say that is is in anyway better than the polyester cover that came with the pillow and the cover an d pillow was about half what this cover sells for.

I wasn't expecting to notice much difference from a pillow protector, but this one honestly stands out. The fabric is incredibly soft and it feels smooth and cool to the touch. I run hot at night and this has helped cut down on that. It actually feels breathableWhat I really appreciate is how silent it is. Many waterproof protectors have that crinkly sound or stiff texture, but this one is whisper quiet and barely detectable under a pillowcase. I haven’t tested it against any big spills, but it handled light just fine, and the pillow underneath stayed perfectly clean. It’s also nice to know it’s hypoallergenic since I have sensitive skin.

This pillow protector really impressed me. The fabric feels amazing to the touch, super soft but also clearly durable and high quality. I love that it protects against sweat, dust, and even mold, all while staying breathable and cool, it doesn’t make the pillow feel stuffy at all. And the best part is that it is 100 percent waterproof, but completely silent, unlike others I’ve tried.Another thing I liked is that it is machine washable. And since I have allergies, the fact that it is hypoallergenic is a huge plus. Totally worth it, especially with the two pack. I definitely recommend it.

I’ve only used it once so far. The pillowcase protector itself is really big. It’s thick and soft. I like tencel fabric because it’s more breathable than most fabrics and is very good for sensitive skin and allergies. It was very easy to wash and dry. It dries quickly. I washed it on a low spin cycle and then dried it on low. Although this is pricey I hope it is worth it in the long run based upon the company’s claims.

I have been searching and searching for quality pillow covers, and these delivered. These are soft to the touch, fit well on the pillows, and best of all, don't make the "crinkly" noises that I have experienced from other pillow protectors.I have a set of really nice pillows that were very expensive, and I want to keep them as long as possible. When I saw these covers, I was hopeful that they would extend the life of the pillows and make my sleep more comfortable, and I think these do that. They are really nice and feel luxurious, as advertised. However, only YOU can decide if these are worth the extremely high price they demand.Four stars.

While I don't know if I could ever be persuaded to pay $69 for a pair of bed-pillow covers, I wouldn't think a person was crazy to buy these (especially if protecting ultra-nice pillows). Everything about these Airley Australian Luxury Pillow Protectors is of excellent quality. The fabric is smooth and heavy, but supple; the seams and zipper are well sewn; and the faux flap on the end opposite the zipper, making the protector look like a normal pillowcase, is a nice touch. The bottom end of the zipper could be a little tidier, but since it gets tucked inside the closed case, it's not worth penalizing the seller. It's too early for temps in the 90's, so it's hard to form a strong opinion on the cooling qualities of the covers. I sleep really hot, though, and if these had a tendency to be warm, I would've noticed by now.In short, no complaints and an enthusiastic double-thumbs-up!###Note: I rely heavily on reviews for my purchases, and I give honest reviews in return, whether the items are free or paid for. I hate being responsible for junky consumer landfill, so I order only what I can really use, and only if the listing and the seller's main page pass the sniff test. So if it seems like I give an unusual number of positives, it's because I'm very selective about what I order in the first place. I hope this review is helpful.
