Might be a bit lengthy but necessary for a Chevy Equinox. Some say receiving damaged, yes it is a large long box with no rigidity. It will depend on how far it is shipped and hopefully on top, Do not start without a clip fastener removal tool ($4) you'll thank me. I guarantee you'll use it again sometime. Also put a blanket over the engine bay in case something dropped. Some say they are missing parts because they are looking at the wrong instructions. Do not scan the code in the pkg, it shows a GMC Sierra which isn't even close. Go to REALTRUCK.com, shop by vehicle, enter info, hit Bugflector II, make sure you input 1.5L, scroll down and click on AVS 25057 install instructions..(not the video). Instructions are specific. Pay close attention to where the hood seal and the bugshield plastic must be. At first you may think that it will not line up, jostle it around and it will line up perfect. The plastic hardware supplied works fine, you could probably re-use the push pins too. Overall I am very satisfied with the purchase.,

This is my second purchase of this bug shield. I wouldn’t have had to buy another one, except my vehicle was totaled out. Needless to say, I liked the bug shield so much that I ordered an exact replacement for my new car. It is very easy to install, looks good on the car, and helps protect my hood. What more could you ask for?

None of the instructions I saw showed how it actually installs. It was easy to figure out. You will need to remove the rubber weather strip under the front of the hood. I suggest you go to the auto parts store and buy auto upholstery tool ( it's a couple bucks) it makes popping out the plastic clips easy. Otherwise easy install about 30 Minutes and it looks good.

The bug deflector box was a little destroyed, but the product was fine. Installing it was a hassle, tha screw that came with it didn't really work. I think I have to buy some other screws to make sure it doesn't come off. But it is on for now finger crossed . I don't know if I would recommend I really. You might have to invest in other parts

fit was a little challenging do to cold weather, still fit great, warmer temps would help with ease of install.very pleased and would purchase again, also it clears the hood and fenders so no worry about paint ware from contact.

I purchased an Auto Ventshade [AVS] Bugflector II on August 24 2023. Unfortunately I spent the next three weeks in hospital. Thus, when I was able to open the box to install Auto Ventshade [AVS] Bugflector II, I found there were no instruction. I found instruction on Youtube. I found, I am missing the mounting clips. Due to my delay in opening box I am unable to return the item as the return date had timed out. My error. So, I made every attempt to contact the Auto Ventshade for assistance. All I want are the mounting clips. The AVS website does not have customer support phone numbers or any contact information. It appears they do not want customers to contact them or to assist customers. With this all in mind I recommend you do not purchase from Auto Ventshade [AVS] because they ship incomplete items and do not seem to be interested in assisting customers. Very poor way to conduct a business.
