Very sturdy stainless - 5 star. Water system is okay - 4 star. The water supply hose and parts are good quality yet need additional parts (elbows) so unit can fit. The drain helps to change the water - 4 star. Added parts (elbows; pipe) so that the unit can be drained easier since it is positioned in a chicken coup. When water is clean, the unit is great and the hood keeps much debris out. Going to try a few gold fish to see if they will keep the water clean for a longer period of time and entertain the chickens.

Well made automatic waterer. It comes with everything you need to hook up your hose to provide water to (in my case) the chickens. This will come in handy during the winter, as adding a little submersible water heater (not included) will do the trick to keep it from freezing and provide a good amount of water for the chickens. The little awning is perfect for keeping poo out of the water.It’s easy to assemble and works better than the watering cup versions. Although the bucket heater worked, it was hard to keep the cups from freezing in the winter. This design eliminates that hassle, as keeping heat trace around the cups can prove difficult.Great job with this item.
