I know it's made to handle serious heat; my situation is a minor level of heat in comparison, but too much for any normal tape, I think.For me, not knowing such tape existed, this stuff is wonderful. The stickiness isn't much, which makes complete sense, but if it's wrapped tightly several times around, that's probably what it's optimized for. Then it holds. You need to do it tightly because all although it's cloth, if you don't pull it tightly it will gradually be loose because it's relaxed on the roll as it comes.

This tape is cloth but its very strong and has a really great adhesive that sticks permanently but also can be peeled off and re-wrapped without losing adhesion or leaving gummy spots where it was. It allows for abrasion by sliding smoothly. it conforms better than plastic too. I do car stereo installation and this is my go to tape for wiring harnesses and cables.

Used this tape on a '73 Harley FLH to wrap the new harness I built for an M-Unit Blue. Adhesion to itself it GREAT! Lays smooth and very easy to make a great looking wrap! Definitely will buy this again!
