Better to know about your battery than to guess. I can't recall how many times I have chased an electrical gremlin only to find out that it is the battery that is old and won't hold a charge. Now I can know the state of the battery. That might sound simple, just read the date on the battery, but no, they don't punch out the purchase dates any more instead going by the SN of the battery. I have many and can't begin to keep up with when I bought each of them. Now when I have an electrical problem I will break out the battery tester first before chasing a phantom. It is also much better than a no-go type load tester.Also really good to go buy a battery and check them before buying. I took this to the store and checked three this last purchase to get two that were acceptable. Most are not charged up to full CCA and usually never will be. Brought the batteries home and put them on the trickle charger and rechecked them before putting them in the truck.

This saved me a lot of money on labor. Arrived to the house before I did. Check my battery health and all 4 of them failed. To have semi battery tested would of cost an hour of diagnostic and my time,but I seen a TT on this and purchased this here and was worth the money. Everyone should have one of these very simple to use. Accurate and readability is easy.

I bought this to test my batteries out, and got to test a friend's car who was having battery issues. His battery was barely a year old, but was having problems with the car starting. I used this tester and we find out the battery is low, but also that the car charging is not working as it should. So he needs a new alternator, not a new battery! Very easy to use and helpful diagnosing battery issues!
