Arrived today 8/26/2022 for my 2014 Honda CR-V EX-L. I read many reviews and was a little cautious. The manufacturer must be reading comments and correcting production issues. This is a GREAT product and LOOKS GREAT. It was VERY EASY to install in about 25 minutes. Now for those who want details: it came well-packed with bubble wrap. Directions were simple. Some of the directions are humorous and one instruction is not correct. 1) "the information...is intended for use only by skilled technicians who have the proper tools, equipment, and training to correctly and safely add equipment...should not be attempted by "do-it-yourselfers" --well, I did it anyway, with the tool (allen wrench) they supplied, and a ladder to get high enough over my car, and a screw driver to remove the vehicle's roof-rail rubber covers. 2) the directions say the "tools required" is a "T-30 torx bit," and a "torque wrench." I don't have a torque wrench, but I'm not worried, and the tool supplied in the package is actually a 5mm allen (hex) wrench, which was the right tool to fit the bolts that are supplied. The allen wrench is cheap, but it worked. Now, I read several disgruntled comments about the bar lengths, and about the bolts not fitting, and from some that the bolts were too long. I didn't have any of those issues. I will say, you need to order the roof rack for your particular vehicle. I've noticed that Amazon is good about telling you if what you are looking at will fit your vehicle. Now, when assembling the pieces, (and commenter's are correct about the lack of information here) but obviously short bolts go into the crossbars and long bolts go into the L/R brackets to attach to the car's roof rails. The directions have lots of pictures and simple information. Practically, and universally true, NEVER tighten all the bolts until the whole thing is in fixed position for final tightening. Lastly, I purchased this rack to install kayak racks, and the kayak racks I bought fit great.

**Updated review ten months after purchase/installation:I cannot remember how much I paid for this roof rack, but it was one of the only options arriving in time for my trip, so it wasn’t my first choice. Luckily, it turned out to be an excellent buy. It’s functional beyond my expectations, adds no road noise, and looks great. I recently had some bodywork done after a fender bender, and when Geico did my estimate and valued my vehicle, they documented the roof rack as being OEM.Geico is terrible insurance when it comes time to pay. They’re known for being extremely cheap and looking for any possible way to devalue a vehicle, so that’s saying something.-----------------------------------------------------Original Review (August 2022):I only ordered this particular brand because it was one of three options that would arrive in two days. Otherwise, I could have saved about $45 and bought a brand with more/better reviews, so my expectations were not very high.Luckily, it arrived quickly and was just as described, and I had no problem installing it on my 2006 Honda CRV alone, without help in about an hour.I’m female and have no experience installing roof racks or any other apart, so I was a bit nervous to do it myself but could not stomach the cost of having one installed locally, which was my original plan.I had an appointment with a local outfitting company but canceled last minute, due to the wildly inflated cost of both their base model rack and installation. When trying to decide, I was advised that it was a really bad idea to attempt installation on my own, let alone buy a rack on Amazon, but my gut told me they were wrong and I’m glad I listened.I recommend sitting diwn and reading the instructions before beginning, as they are a little vague. Also, save yourself the trouble and use a better wrench than the flimsy one provided. You will need a 5/32 Allen wrench. A socket wrench is ideal. As for performance, I’ll get back to you on that. I’m attaching to it a Curt rooftop basket and carrying a large load 3,000 miles, so let’s hope it’s at least able to withstand that!

Don’t waste your money on this product. After 3 months of normal use the Rail caps are loose and one ended up flying off. I contacted the company to see if I could purchase rail caps and they Outright disregarded my request. A total waste of money. I would not recommend this product at all.
