With the prevalence of USB C video output in modern laptops and especially handheld devices, having a dock/capture card all in one solution saves so much hassle and time.This has become my all in one solution for capturing pretty much anything with USB C video out because it is so versatile and has taken the place of the other USB C capture cards I have since it performs better, is more useful since I can keep controllers and peripherals connected to it, and it can record to an SD card or direct video output.As far as output, it works flawlessly with OBS, recognized as a source instantly, and the video throughput is as far as I can tell lag free. It is almost fast enough to play from the capture output, but there is a liiiitle bit of lag with that, which is expected. But the fact it is so close is quite impressive.If you stream or record off of a laptop with USB C or need to record footage with zero overhead, this is honestly the best choice. I have a newfound appreciation of AVerMedia's offerings after having used the cat brand owned by that one ship company. These ones work so much better with less issues and no bloated software or fuss. They just work.

This dock is a pretty impressive piece of work for the price. If you have intentions of recording top tier and high quality gaming or even better streaming it to your followers whether that group be large or small this is the perfect option.On top of that it's even great for more mundane tasks like screen mirroring.This is a great option if you are a content creator or if you want to become one. The dock is truly a powerhouse that allows for seamless playback for you to record and edit to later, put on your social platforms or dsp’s if you're at that level.I've used it with the steam deck, switch, iPad and LG v60 without issue. After buying this I saw there were lots out there with similar options that were only $30. I have no idea where the difference is, since they seem to offer the same connectivity as this one?
