I have not tested it yet on an airplane but it looks like it will do the job. Has a strainer. It is made of plastic. Seems worth the price. See the photos.

This is a well designed cup.This particular design is copied all over the place and they're all pretty good.Here's what's nice about it, you fill the cup from the airplane fuel sump and it flows into the cup unfiltered. You can see if there's any contamination or water very easily. it also holds more than most fuel cups.The beauty is that you can confidently pour it back into the fuel tank because it has a filtration screen that filters the fuel when you pour it.It's a great design that's why it's so popular. Lots of companies copy it.This particular cup is well built and lightweight. It works great and has a long enough probe for some of the harder t get to sumps. I like it a lot.I think you'll be happy with this fuel cup. I think it's the best design of the one's I've used.

I bought this jar and when working it is great for checking for contaminants in the fuel, it has a fine filter that filters out the contaminants

It's very effective, it's easy for me to use when testing jet fuel, it's easy to carry, and I can put it in my bag

It worked very well, and I found that the contaminants could be easily filtered out during the test, and I liked it very clearly
