It's trash. I bought this as a backup lamp, yesterday my OEM lamp died out of its life, so I replaced it with the backup lamp. But it didn't work and can't be turn on, no any response. I can't return it because the return window closed.

This is not a direct replacement for the BenQ tk850. The frame of the bulb is different as you can see from my attached photo. It will fit in the tk850, however the picture will be dark and the bulb will overheat since the fan will not cool it properly.I was able to use the product to fix my problem by swapping the new bulb onto the old frame. This was the cheapest option to fix my projector, but I still only give it 2 stars because it was not a direct replacement as advertised.

At the eventual time when I need to replace my lamp, I will use this. Right now, it is on standby for that day. I’d rather not mess with a good lamp so this is simply a back up.It doesn’t seem that it has a lot of great reviews. It seems pretty mixed as being not great to OK. I’ll take OK if that’s what I get. If not, I will likely need to get an OEM lamp. But this gives me some peace of mind in the meantime, in case I need to, make a quick switch for a live event.

Just installed this lamp and it is either 100% not a direct replacement or I'm seriously missing something. Use my tk850 on 130 inch screen and you can barely makeout faces with this bulb it is so dim in comparison.

Installed bulb which worked great for two weeks, then all of a sudden began just turning off on it's own after 10 minutes of use. Happens everytime even after power cycling, changing sources, or reseting configuration settings in menu. Seller says its out of return window. Not a good experience - working with Amazon to obtain a return any way. Buy with caution.

The bulb works well and much brighter form the one that I replaced. That said, the build is generic and not OSRAM. Seller quickly addressed the misleading image and sent me an OSRAM one. They both seems to have similar brightness so I think even generic is fine for anyone in the fence.

My projector image kept shutting off after a couple of minutes so I decided to replace the lamp. Changing the lamp was a very easy process. The new lamp looks great. I didn't realize how dim the old one had gotten over time. Wish I had changed this months ago. This is a generic lamp and not OEM, so far. After 1 hour looks great.
