About this item

  • One 21-inch teak wood French rolling pin
  • Natural teak wood construction resists moisture for durability and weighted balance
  • No-handle, tapered design easily flattens and rolls with control at every angle - perfect for making pies, ravioli, palmier cookies, and other pastries
  • Long body offers better manueverability to control the thinness of your pie crusts and pastry doughs. No cracking, divots and uneven doughs.
  • Care instructions: Hand wash only. Do not soak in water to help prevent splitting. Occasionally apply a thin layer of oil when the teak wood feels rough and dry.

Home bakers, roll out! Grab the Babish 21-inch Teak Wood French Rolling Pin and get to work with one of the most preferred gadgets of pastry chefs. French-style rolling pins have a distinct, tapered design compared to the straight dowels with ball bearings and end handles. The tapered design provides better weight distribution and control at every angle to flatten and work with the consistency of the dough of any size. At 21 inches, the long body maneuvers smoothly to achieve the desired thinness and diameter of pie crusts, handmade pasta, dumplings, and pastries. Natural-grained teak wood is not only beautiful to leave on your countertop, but it also provides durability and moisture resistance to help alter the taste and texture of the dough. Smooth wood exterior supports the easy transfer of the dough from a floured surface or pastry mat to a pie dish or baking sheet. Hand wash only. Do not soak in water to help prevent splitting. Occasionally apply a thin layer of oil when the teak wood feels rough and dry.

I have a love of collecting rolling pins.I love this one. I make cinnamon rolls and other things requiring me to roll the dough. This is light weight. Easy to handle. Well made. I do highly recommend this

I've wanted a French style rolling pin for years, and when Babish came out with one, it seemed like a no-brainer. When I took it out of the box, I ran my hand along it in one direction and it was so smooth! Then I ran my hand back the other way and got several small splinters. Thanks to other reviews, I knew I wasn't alone, but I was a little disappointed because I'd expect more from a line with Babish's name on it. But, I lightly sanded it (150 grit was the finest I had on hand. Just lightly sanded to smooth out the roughness), and I'm now very happy with the rolling pin! Seems like it'll last forever and it's very nice to work with.

This is a work of art for the kitchen. My son loves Babish videos on cooking and we bought his kindle cookbook. We just can't decide whether make a pastry or pasta dough with it first πŸ§‘β€πŸ³

We have been huge fans of Andrew for longer than I can even describe. To see him coming out with his own line of equipment is amazing! This is very good quality. It’s heavy and feels very durable. Does exactly as described and I’m thrilled with the product. Thank you, Babish!

I ordered several items from the Babish line, many were great and held up so far. I've seen numerous reviews that say the cutting boards, pins and other items lack Babish labeling or people get shipped knock off things. There does seem to be truth to this as I too received a poorly finished pin first, its wood had splinters and grabbed heavily to any fabric. It was not smooth, did not have the Babish logo as pictured, and seemed poorly made. I was sent a replacement and it seems fine so far, I've seasoned it and it is far less "grabby" than the previous one. I worry that Andrew may have gone "commercial" a bit too fast and whatever company/companies he made deals with lacks the kind of QA his name deserves. I'd love to see a Boos Block or Zwilling J. A. Henckels collaberation, and I'd gladly pay premium for such products.

I bought this for my husband, he's been wanting a rolling pin for a while. We both love Babish so this was perfect. I am disappointed it is a bit rough feeling and unfinished. Hopefully they'll fix whatever issue they have going on with production.Edited to add: Since I've oiled the roller its been amazing. Very smooth, light weight, and works like a charm. Easy to handle as well, we're enjoying it. It did take a lot of coats of oil, but I'd say it was worth it. It seems like it's going to last us a long time.

Tldr: wood spikey, sand wood not spikey, use food grade wood polish, bread.I got this because I wanted to show support and I needed a roller. But cheese and rice is this thing covered in splinters. I made the mistake of rubbing with my hands to wash it and was... "You ever seen American Me? You know the prison scene?"
