I had trouble holding and using the "classic" style rolling pins due to a medical condition. The 'French" style is much easier for me to use. I can really work with this style so much better! It is one of those products that makes me ask where have you been all my life! As a person who loves to bake THIS rolling pin is the best I have ever used!

The ones with the handles are not worth it. Get these ones, as they are much more versatile and last longer.

I've always used marble rolling pins and this is the first one I've tried that is wooden and it's really easy to use. It's also easy to clean.

The shape and usability are fine, but the wood has some significant pitting in many spots and was somewhat rough on the ends I outlined the worst in the picture.I also had some slivers peel off.I treated it with butchers block oil which helped with the roughness and the slivers.I don’t really see a solution to the pitting other than sanding it down but I suspect that could also cause some problems.

I have always used this type of rolling pin and when mine broke I was trying to make do with the other style. I couldn't wait for this guy to show up. Well made and solid as a rock. A little seasoning and it was in use the same day. Easy to use and makes rolling out dough a snap. Grab one as soon as you can. Farberware is a great product and this is a great price for their roller. You'll love how easy it is to master. Recommend.
