I am not a fan of having to use batteries, it's just not my thing, I LOVE that this little guy is rechargeable! I can recharge it between baths and it is always ready to use. It is easy to use and seems to be fairly accurate, making it functional and adorable. I ordered the UFO version and find it adorable! Any style of this cute rechargeable bath thermometer would make a great gift, highly recommend.

This is a really neat UFO looking thermometer. It floats great, seems to show the temperature accurately, and is well made. Been using it a month now on weekends when my grandson is over and its as good as new. Great product!

The features work fine. Blue when its reads a certain degree and green when its a certain degree. My water didn't get hot enough for the Red color indicator. Found a 2 degree difference when comparing the same water with a meat thermometer. This product said water was at 102 and the meat thmometer said it was 104. I would still use personal judgement when using this product.

i was quite surprised how small this actually is. But I think it is the perfect size for a toddler to play with, if you wanted something useful, and entertaining. It actually reads the bath temperature very well and was accurate when I checked it with another thermometer. It is rechargeable which I like although the magnetic charging connection is a little weird. You have to make sure it is laying flat and the cord wont get pulled whatsoever or it will stop charging. It has an LCD screen which is bright and easy to see. The temperature reading is instantaneous. I do wish the screen/reading would stay on while filling up the tub. It stays on for a few seconds then turns off. So you have to wait until the tub is full or keep turning it back on while filling. So that part was a bit of a pain. Otherwise it worked well and a I think its just a good an any other bath thermometer. I felt like it was made very well, and a good quality thermometer.

My six year old granddaughter thinks evenly fairly warm water feels hot to her. I thought this would be a good (and fun) way to make sure the water temperature is in the safe range, but on the lower end of that range where she likes it. I chose this particular one because she loves pink. She enjoyed testing it out in the bathroom sink with warm water. After that test, she put ice cubes in the water to see how low the temperature would go. It read 65 degrees before we decided to drain the water. Since the item description didn't specify what this pink character is, my granddaughter's guess was an axolotl -- or maybe a pufferfish, as another reviewer described it. Even though it seemed to be working right out of the box (displayed the temperature), I charged it up just to test out the effectiveness of the magnetic charging cord (that attached to two contacts on the bottom of the critter). This particular one included a tiny compass mounted on the critter's back, which, although it appears to be accurate, stumps me as to why this would be included on an item meant to be used in a bathtub by a baby or young child, most likely unfamiliar with compasses.

This is so great to have. When my son was a baby, I used a food thermometer to check the water temp. This is much better for babies and easier to use.It works as advertised. It floats in the water and checks the temperature. If it is the appropriate temperature for a bath, you will see a green light. If it's below 95 degrees, it will be blue or red for over 104 degrees indicating it's too hot.It automatically shuts off, so it doesn't keep a constant read of water temperature. It is easy to turn back on though to check temperature as it's a simple touch button.The fact that it's recharging is great, too! Easy to charge and use. Very helpful in ensuring safe bath time for babies and children.

I was pleasantly surprised once my thermometer arrived; I assumed it would be a bulky, awkward thing that takes up too much space. However, it is a compact design, making storage easy, the LED is easy to read, and it does deliver when it comes to accuracy of water temperature. Recommended especially if there are any small kids in the household to make sure water is at a comfy, safe temperature. Minus 1 star because it doesn’t feel as if it was made with durability in mind; light/plastic feeling.
