Ho acquistato il termometro a pistola Thermos Scan della marca Berrcom circa un anno fa DICEMBRE 2023 e posso dire di essere pienamente soddisfatto. Tuttavia, è importante sottolineare che, come la maggior parte dei termometri di questo tipo, necessita di una corretta calibrazione prima del primo utilizzo per garantire letture precise.Molti non lo sanno, ma appena scartato potrebbe fornire letture sballate. Per ottenere risultati affidabili, QUESTE INFO SONO VALIDE PER LA MAGGIOR PARTE DELLE PISTOLE, ecco come calibrare la pistola:1. Misurare la temperatura corporea con un termometro digitale affidabilePreferibilmente usate un termometro digitale tradizionale simile ai vecchi termometri a mercurio (ma digitale). Questi strumenti offrono letture precise e possono fungere da riferimento. Ricordate di disinfettarli se vengono usati da più persone.2. Accendere la pistola e accedere al menù di calibrazioneUna volta accesa la pistola, individuate il pulsante "SET" o "MODE". Tenetelo premuto per circa 2 secondi finché non compare un sotto-menù lampeggiante.3. Inserire il valore della temperatura rilevato dal termometro digitaleNel menù lampeggiante, impostate il valore della temperatura corporea misurato precedentemente. Consiglio di effettuare tre misurazioni in diverse aree del corpo (testa, tronco – come petto, schiena, o pancia – e polsi) per un valore medio più accurato.4. Confrontare le letture e verificare la calibrazioneDopo la calibrazione, rimisurate la temperatura con entrambi gli strumenti (pistola e termometro digitale). Noterete uno scarto minimo, come riportato nel manuale, ma la pistola sarà molto più vicina al valore reale.5. Attenzione al reset delle impostazioniRicordate che ogni volta che cambiate le batterie, sarà necessario ripetere la calibrazione, poiché la rimozione delle batterie resetta le impostazioni della pistola.Dopo un anno di utilizzo (dicembre 2024), posso confermare che il prodotto è rimasto perfettamente funzionante e continua a svolgere egregiamente il suo lavoro. I temporarily had three of these. The description says they come with 2 x aaa batteries. Two of the three didn't have batteries, and they had minor scratches on buttons, as if they had been used. The other one had batteries in the unit, which had no screen protect film and packing material, clearly used. All of them had the same mfg date of 2021.01.29.They all seemed to work within spec +-0.4F.

Thermometers are becoming so expensive. I've got the regular oral, and I found an ear digital for reasonable elsewhere, but my ear canals are odd shaped so I wanted a forehead for quick readings. The price on this one was so good I was skeptical, but out of the package it works great. The directions are very straight forward (not sure why another reviewer had problems switching temp scale) and it's super easy to use. Plus I like the 'room' option. Tested it in the room with my thermostat and it matches (well not the decimal, but the thermostat only gives full degrees). Overall very impressed for the price!

I bought this product because it's NON-TOUCH so my son and wife (both tested POSITIVE for COVID-19) will not be sharing the oral thermometer that we have and test is QUICK. However, to my disappointment, this thermometer is very inaccurate. My wife has an on-off fever/chills. The reading on this thermometer (body) is always 97.7*F while the oral reads 99.9*F, 101.7*F. This thermometer is unreliable and scary in this time of Corona Virus pandemic. DON'T BUY. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS. That's why it's cheap!...Should be rated NO STAR at all because the RETURN-DROP-OFF is Kohl's, not UPS or USPS. I have to drive 6 miles to the nearest Kohl's. :(

Infrared Thermometer Berrcom JXB-182Pros:–Found a good price for model JXB-182–Very basic, easy to use, nothing hi-tech or complicated with large LED display–Temps very close to those using an oral thermometer, take temp in same location each time, otherwise they can vary and you’ll think it’s defective. Compared to forehead, getting about 1 full degree higher readings in ear canals–supposed to be normal–Notice: batteries are NOT included. Insert batteries and it’s ready to go, mine arrived preset to “body” mode and display “F” temps--Very light weight plastic, almost feels cheap but readings appear accurate. Read in another manual Rycom/Berrcom units are calibrated at the factory so don’t have to do it at home, but manual includes instructions how to manually recalibrate (there are circumstances where you want to understand how to do this)--Have been recording body temps at least once daily since mid-February, but goal is twice; this quick read infrared makes project easier–I would definitely purchase this same unit againCons:–Only thing I don’t like: base is curved so when placed on a flat surface, the unit rolls over on its side. I’m using the original plastic package base insert to store the unit. Future units should be designed to have a flattened bottom edge on the housing so the LED and buttons face straight up when not in useOther thoughts:–Read the user manual, be properly informed what to expect and how to use the unit for best, most accurate results–Do a quick internet search on normal body temps, it has been readjusted from 98.6 down to 98.2. My normal is 97.1-97.5 for past couple years. Before complaining about thermometers, read how to correctly take a reading, understand expected differences between oral, surface, audio canal, armpit, and rectal readings; understand temp range differences between gender, age, and other factors; temps do fluctuate throughout the day–This unit looks similar to their model Rycom RC008–nice .pdf user manual online under that model number
