First use of this pump and the hose that was included fell apart. The suction power is not there. The last small pump we had worked a lot faster. I couldn't find it again on Amazon. And settled for this one.

This pump starts out a monster, pumps do fast your 2in water service won't be able to keep up with it. You always buy nicer hoses to use with it, with premium large handle fittings, use a gasket and o-ring on the hose fittings, screw on tight (which is why those that have plastic threading usually become unusable), and then just make sure it doesn't run dry for more than a second, and with this pump NEVER. Also, this clearly cheaply built pump also states it's not cleared to transfer chlorinated water! About the stupidest thing I could ever imagine these pumps not being able to do, became they've either being used with hydroponics/farming, or they're being used with your RV/Pond/Pool, with literally every clean water source having chlorination! I'm obviously using it with tap water in spite of this warning, and the hunk of junk (week 3/use twice each week for approx 2 hours) has already slowed down enough it's probably slower than my Flotec ever got over a 7 year period. If you have to repkace diaphragms multiple times a year? It's junk, and you can be sure it's going to break. SiSo if you do buy, never run even a hint dry, and get a can fan you can blow on it while running. I'll be reoairing my Flotec's plastic threads with JB Weld, but it a new diaphragm, and this crud will be backup.

I am using it to drain my duck pond. Works well. Came with replacement parts.

I use this to pump water out of my rain collection system. I can pump water through 250 feet of hose. It is on a bit of a downhill slope with helps, but I have good pressure and I can use a sprinkler at the end of the hose and water my garden.

I got this pump for a DIY pool heater on a 50' garden hose. It pulled water from about 3' deep in the pool. Had it set to run a couple hours a day during the heat of the day with a couple 15 breaks to let it cool a little. Worked great for about a month and then it shut off and won't turn back on. I couldn't find any kind of a reset switch. Disappointed with how long it lasted. Was expecting at least a season or two.

This works great for moving water out of a rain barrel, through a 50-foot hose, and through a spray nozzle for watering plants. Excellent pressure. If you let water flow to it before turning it on, it is really not that loud. The metal base has two mounting holes, but the plastic base underneath the metal base has none. So I chose to drill holes through the plastic base before mounting the pump to a board. I could see no switch on the pump to turn it on and off. You plug it in to start it and unplug it to stop. I did not like this, so I purchased a plug in toggle switch.

I usually don't leave feedback but I searched these pumps chose this one on the reviews. I have a 5000 gallon pond I needed to move some algae overgrown water out. I ran this pump for a solid two hours, never even made a strange noise, never stopped. I transferred about 2500 gallons out. Worth the 60$!!
