I bought two of these. There was a petroleum/chlorochemical smell when I first opened the weight plates, but it was gone after about a week. Now it is fine. I like these much better than the traditional iron plates, since the plastic minimizes the clanging sound when I stack the plates or place them on the floor. I would buy them again.

Great weight and I do appreciate the rubber housing around for gripping it tight in your hands for intense workouts. Delivery was quick with amazon prime. I been using it daily for the last 2 month or so and no regrets. The only thing I say I had to leave it outside to vent because the smell was very strong for like a week and spray it down with lysol but no complaints still worth it.

Wanted all my plates to fit on my "tree" and needed "tens" with a smaller outer diameter. These were the smallest diameter I could find and they are great. Arrived with a slippery substance on the rubber. I thought it might dissipate, and it hasn't, so I plan to wash them in Dawn or orange automotive cleaner. Should work.

Ordered two 25lbs weights. One is 21.5 and the other is 24.5. Noticeably different when you try to use them. Shame on me for not checking reviews before buying. BalanceFrom won't replace them, or give me a refund. They will take your money and ship to you via amazon, but I finally weighed them after the return date and now I'm getting nowhere. Do not buy. If you have a Fitness Depot in your area make the trip. They are way cheaper and you'll get the correct weight. You've been warned. Good luck ;)

It smells SO BAD!! Do not buy this if you expect to use it out of the box. I can barely breathe in my own apartment right now, it's giving me a headache, the really bad kind. I tried cleaning it with mild soap then rubbing alcohol but nothing has worked so far. I'm currently trying baby powder + vinegar wipe 😭The struggle is real!

The metal insert makes it easier to slide on and off the bar as compared to the all rubber ones. I still use both, however.
