They are NOT big enough for the leg of a woman past 14 - I kept them, to wear on my arms and wrists....

I'll just start by saying I'm 5'4 and 110lbs and my legs are slender. These fit my legs and were tight enough to stay up without falling down. If you're not a petite person like myself these might not work out for you. They're more like tight socks than they are leg warmers which are normally looser. My legs get cold a lot due to circulation issues but they kept them nice and warm while still being comfortable. They don't have any grippy stuff to keep them up like other thigh high socks/stockings do so be aware of that as well.
