Radio has good weight to it, feels solid in my hand. Nice color screen and plenty bright. Lots of features on it. The Tidradio bluetooth programmer that came with it makes is easy to program on the go with the ODMASTER APP I've programmed a few local repeaters and frequencies to the radio that are local to my area while I was out making deliveries. The speaker is loud and clear. I'm going to program the 5rn for all my area's analog emergency frequencies to listen to when something happens so I can keep informed. Very nice bundle for the price.

This radio works great and has a good sound. The larger screen does make it easier to navigate and with the tidradio it's really easy to program. Only con I have is the PTT button is a little easy to press, the weight of the radio can press it, I've accidentally pressed it while grabbing the radio. Overall though I do like it.

I have quite a few radios and the 5rm is one of my favorites. When you pair the 5rm with the tidradio dongle it’s about the easiest it gets when programming. FYI, you can never have too many of the Bluetooth dongles, I find myself giving them out to my club members all the time.

Overall, the radio itself feels solid and well built. The problem is its receiver. Side by side with another radio, a Baofeng BF-F8+, I can hit a repeater with this 5RM but not receive it - I can hear the repeater respond via the other radio. I've tried several of the recent iterations of Baofeng HT's and all seem to have the same issue of a weak receiver.
