I like that I can customize my barcodes. I do not want complicated bar codes to deal with, especially with all of the financial records and inventory counts I have to do. I want to track what sells well and what doesn't. This can upload this info. into excel for me. I like the screen on this scanner. It's large and let's me see and change info. The handheld scanner isn't too bulky or heavy. It was charged enough on arrival to use. The charge lasts a long time as well. A must have for a small business owner.

I was pleasantly surprised on how solid and heavy duty this scanner felt in my hands. The charging cradle is nice as well. It was charged on arrival and I was able to go through the menu and scan something to quickly test it. It seems to work as it scanned the number off my bottled water with no problem at all.This is for our business and I have to figure out which software will meet our needs. I have usually just manually entered everything but now it's too difficult to do and time consuming.I am not familiar with handheld scanners, so this will be a learning moment for me. It has many settings and I love to be able to read entries on the scanner itself, instead of on a tablet or computer screen. I only gave 4 stars because there is no manual, just a quick overview which doesn't help me at all.

This is a barcode scanner with all the bells and whistles.First off, it excels at reading barcodes. I've got a number of 2D barcode scanners of various types; this one is far quicker and more reliable. It has no difficulty reading barcodes printed on reflective labels, barcodes with relatively low contrast, small barcodes, large barcodes... it's highly reliable at doing its main job.It works well at long ranges through residential building structure, even in a relatively challenging RF environment. I haven't caught it garbling a transmission yet.Unlike cheap 2D scanners, this one has a full onboard computer with a display. That means you can configure it using the keypad and display—there's no manual full of configuration QR codes to decipher and lose. It also displays the decoded barcodes as you scan, which is great if you're using it away from the computer it's connected to. You can also manually enter numeric data using the keypad if the barcode's too damaged to scan.There is no "dongle" as you find with most such scanners; the receiver is built into the charging dock. The dock is this scanner's biggest weakness: it's too lightweight, it takes up more space than it needs to, it has a pair of flashing green lights that you can't disable, and it has no provisions for wall mounting. It also grabs the scanner too well—it can be a fight to lift it out. That'd be fine if it were wall-mountable, but since it's not, it's just annoying.Note that you MUST use the dock for wireless operation; the scanner doesn't support Bluetooth. You can use it as a wired device using the USB-C connector on the scanner, though.The scanner itself feels durable and has a reasonable heft—solid but not heavy. It's even got a provision for a wrist strap (not included).If you're looking for a 2D barcode scanner for inventory, or that'll frequently be used where the connected computer isn't easily visible, this scanner's a good choice.

I don’t have a warehouse, and it’s breaking my heart, but I got a scanner, and that’s the start (to paraphrase The Beatles). But seriously, I needed a scanner to test a database on inventory.You may ask, what does a professional scanner do differently from a smartphone scanner? Indeed, your phone can scan barcodes, but there is “some” difference. This scanner can take 10,000 barcodes at a time with a maximum inventory of 200,000 barcodes. In other words, you can scan a lot of codes before you need to download them to a computer. That, I would say, is a BIG difference.To enter the barcodes, you can either scan them or enter them manually. To safeguard your data, the entries are saved in the flash memory, meaning they will not be lost in case of a sudden power off. You can also make corrections if you’ve entered some data erroneously. Not only that, you can customize the export of the barcode inventory that the scanner has acquired in a format that matches your needs. Is your computer too slow? No problem, you can set the scanner to slow down the speed of data transmission.The scanner is solidly built, and it can take some falls (I did not test it on that). It has a very clear display and overall is aesthetically pleasing. The battery seems to last forever.When you connect it to the computer, it will be recognized immediately as a keyboard. If that’s not happening, check the connection cable. I must confess that I did not bother to take the original cable from the box, since I had one handy. When I connected the scanner, there was no response from the computer; there was nothing wrong with the scanner; it was the cable.So, time to give Amazon some competition (LOL).
