A Basco Infinity glass tub enclosure proves that less is more with its frameless bypass glass panels. The quarter-inch thick glass features polished edges and showcases two through the glass towel bars. Your safety is ensured with an insert in the header that keeps the panels secure. Moderate DIY Skills are recommended for installation of the shower enclosure. To keep water in, we recommend placing the interior panel closest to the shower head. Ensure your measurements are precise and finished wall material is in place before measuring for your shower door. Tools needed to install the door are: Tape measure, level, hacksaw, drill, 7/64 inch, 1/8 inch, ¼ inch drill bits, #2 Phillips screwdriver, 3/16 inch wrench, sharp knife, and caulking (clear silicone recommended). Optional tools include a miter box for cutting parts to length, files, center punch, and masking tape. At Basco Shower Enclosures, our goal is to create a remarkable experience for you. Because the shower is everything, our team of design engineers and precision craftsmen create a comprehensive family of shower enclosures we’re proud to brand with the Basco name. We make the selection of your shower door easy and offer helpful and responsive customer service to answer all of your questions. Got the Basco shower door undamaged. It was packaged very well.Installation was strait forward and the instructions that came with the Basco unit were very good. Easy to understand with technical illustrations and well written directions. Had a list for all the part numbers should you need anything in the future. The Basco semi-frameless doors were installed in a Sterling Tub/shower unit.Notes: 1) when I installed the supplied blue plastic insert fasteners, all six failed (they would turn in the holes drilled so you couldn't tighten the screws to hold down the aluminum verticals to the shower/tub unit). I purchased new white toggle-style inserts which worked great. 2) For non-silicone caulk: consider setting your threshold upside down and lay a bead of caulking on the inside edges all way round. Let it cure and then lay a bead of caulk on your tub unit. When you put the threshold down, on the bead of caulk, it will have twice the seal width for a great waterproof threshold seal on your tub surface. You can't do this with silicone because silicone won't stick to silicone. You can use this seal method if your silicone beads are all wet at the same time when you put that threshold down. All the Door parts were quality made from aluminum, stainless screws, brushed stainless glass door handle/towel bars. The header was high quality extrusion and easy to cut with a carbide blade on a chop saw. Shaping the corners on the vertical supports was easy using my belt sander though a common flat file works just as good. The doors slide smooth with the supplied roller wheels. The fitment at the lower corners at the end of each threshold was excellent. You can seal the tub to the threshold hidden behind the verticals and then seal it a second time at the actual joint you can see which makes for bombproof water proof sealing in your corners using your choice of caulking! Great design and thinking ahead from Basco.
