Who knew a ball on a rope could be so much fun? This really is a great batting practice tool, and the rope is good quality. The ball maybe not as much. What we've noticed with the kids is if they hit it downward as it swings toward them, like hitting a groundball off a pitch, the ball material will start to come apart. I was able to glue it back and prevent a rip from happening, but the long-term solution is to teach the kids to hit it upward, like they're slamming one out of the park. It seems to be holding up fine with that approach. Would be great if it included a second replacement ball but it doesn't so have to treat it a bit careful.

Works as directed. Perfect for hanging from a tree to practice your swing. Looks to me like this will last for years to come.

The rope length is about 10ft (as measured with my almost 12 inch feet). To shorten it the listing mentions adjusting the not, but then you have a mass of string under the ball. Instead I tied an Alpine Butterfly Loop and clipped the carabiner to it to adjust the length. (google "Alpine Butterfly Loop" if you want to learn to tie a useful knot)I like this better than a T stick because the ball is actually moving. The idea I'm going with is to just keep hitting it, and aim to hit it on each rebound. I've found that attaching to a higher branch is worth the extra effort, even if you need to get out a ladder to do it. That way the ball can swing in from farther away and give you more time to line up and hit it. If the string is too short it's too erratic and frustrating. Also, aim to hit slightly high (like going for a home run or pop fly) and it will bounce back better. If you hit perfectly horizontal it will just swing in a circle and wrap around the branch.Start out just barely hitting it, and work your way up to harder swings. It's not about hitting home sluggers as much as it is about working on hand eye coordination to hit a moving target each time.

We were not able to use this with my granddaughter. We hung it from the tree. It just continued to get wrapped around the tree and turned out to be more of a problem, than a help. Therefore, I would not recommend this particular item.

Lasted 5 days. I have two sons who can switch hit. One is 9 and the other is 7. Don’t waste your money on this garbage. Spend a little more money for a better one. Very disappointed!

My daughter has played softball for years and is always looking for ways to stay on her game. The cool thing about this is that we can hang it in the basement over the winter months for her practice. Then as the weather gets nice, she is also able to take it outside and hang it. It's easy to use, has a good weight to it, and seems like it will be durable. So far she is loving it!

We struggle with batting practice due to size yard we have, this fixes that issue. I tied to the tree branch in my yard and then was able to adjust to each kids needed height. We used it by having the ball stationary and also by me holding then dropping the ball so they can hit in motion. So far this has been a hit with all the kids. Great value for the price and easy to use.

I purchased this for my 7 year old grandson who is getting into summer baseball. I thought this could help with his hitting practice as it takes two people to pitch & bat. We hung this from a tree and adjusted the height to be in his strike zone. At first, he tried to kill it, swinging hard! I convinced him to just bump it out with his bat and then wait for it to return. Swing hard enough to make contact and practice hitting it every time. He can adjust the height by repositioning the rope loops around the tree trunk.Alternatively, another person can pull the ball back and let it swing towards the batter, The height should be the same every time but the speed can be varried and you can throw "curves" and spins. He'll enjoy this when he can't gather his friends to go the the local park.
