The 360 degree head has three scales calibrated for use with the ISOM (International Standards of Measurement) system. White background behind the gradations, numbers and text assures high contrast for added readability and resolution. Scale reads 1 degree increments.

My son and DIL are using it to track post- op flexibility. Got the largest print of the #s that was av. Still a little hard to read if the light isn't just right.

when extending goniometer to 180 degrees, it read 2 degrees on the opposite side. Getting accurate and consistent readings with a goniometer is hard enough with the human error component, I do not need the instrument to be inaccurate as well. I had high hopes for this product as the white background 'does' make it easier to read, but this product is just too inaccurate to be using as a physical therapist.

The white area makes it much easier to see the numbers, as I do home health and houses are not always lit well. Good product!
