Included with this kit is the basic equipment that is needed to start making wine. This kit includes a 7.9 gallon bottling bucket, a drilled and grommeted bucket lid, an Italian bottling spigot, a 6 gallon Vintage shop carboy, a dual scale thermometer, a triple scale hydrometer, a medium universal carboy bung, a 3 piece airlock, 5ft of regular 3/8" tubing, a 24" plastic spoon, a shut off clamp, and a regular bottle filler.

Pretty expensive for a plastic bucket with a few holes in it and a plastic carboy. The dual scale thermometer strip was also missing; which isn't an icepick to the forehead, but still…. half of me wants to return it. The half with integrity says own the mistake because I didn't put the research in.Looking at this kit one would think the plastic bucket would be for primary fermentation; and the “glass” carboy would be for secondary and storage for wine purposes. If the carboy was glass it would give more value to the kit.

Great for beginners had everything you need to make wine except a wine thief for when you check you gravity.

I purchased the Basic Home Wine Making Equipment Kit. After opening the box, I noticed the Hydrometer was missing. I emailed Learntobrew.com & got an instant reply. Along with answering my questions, Chris apologized & within a day and a half I had the Hydrometer at my door. Wonderful customer service!! I'm looking foward to getting started.
