I think for the whole package, it was a great price. I used the tool kit provided to install everything. It was my first time installing a battery in a MacBook & took me about 1 1/2 hrs but most of that was spent cleaning the old residue. They provide everything needed for install including a step by step guide with colors & pictures. There are youtube videos if you need more assistance. I’ll use it for school & update if the battery doesn’t do well but for now, it can fully charge & run under its own power.

Very happy that I have what seems like a new computer for just $57! I’ve never done anything like this, I’m actually surprised I could do it and it works. CAREFULLY follow visual instructions and give yourself plenty of time for the process. Mark your screws and parts on the white styrofoam board with the numbered visual instructions pic, it will help when you put things back together.

The kit is very nice as everything you need is there. BUT! this does not fit a 2016 Macbook pro 13" without the touch bar. It might fit the one with the touchbar, but I have no way of knowing. Knocked out this replacement in two hours while watching Love Island!The package comes with almost everything you’ll need:-a 54 step guide with pictures & a QR code to the video-3 different sized screwdrivers-two cards and one spatula to dislodge the battery-a spudger to lift components and remove adhesive-a suction handle and blue opening pick to remove the lower case/back of your laptop-a woven cloth to protect your laptop screen-the replacement battery-an insulating sticker to cover the battery cableYou will need a solvent or adhesive remover (I used 70% rubbing alcohol) that is not included in the package due to shipping restrictions. You will also need a bottle or dropper that allows you to release no more than 5 drops of your solvent! It would’ve been nice if they’d at least included the empty bottle, but I ended up using a dropper from an old skincare bottle.I will say, the video really helped a lot. There were steps where I got stuck, like removing the back case, and watching them walk through each step helped it to click for me. One small issue: the video sometimes skipped small steps, so be sure to check the written instructions as well.Everything worked well for the most part, though the blue opening pick got worn pretty easily—which might’ve been user error. Once I knew what I was doing, it was fine. I really liked that the screwdrivers were magnetic. It made it that much easier to keep track of all the tiny screws. The battery fit perfectly into its designated area, and charged when the cable was connected, so it worked out of the box. It was about half or more charged once installed, so I didn’t need to keep the charger connected right away.Ultimately, I’m pretty happy with this product so far. I bought this because my 2017 MacBook Pro had been dying within a minute of being off the charger, and was quoted $400-$500 by Apple to replace it in store or a minimum of $250 to mail it to a service center (rising to $500+ if it were damaged in transit). Since I wasn’t trying to sink 500 in a laptop that’s already in its way out, I settled on this kit instead. It was so much more affordable (just over 1/5 the cost of the cheapest replacement quote from Apple), and it was pretty easy to do, so long as you follow the instructions carefully. I probably could’ve done it in under 2 hours if I hadn’t also been watching TV!I’m only withholding one star because I just installed it yesterday, so I have yet to test the battery quality and how it functions long term. But so far, I’m finally able to use my laptop off the charger!

La batterie fonctionne bien après installation, elle est parfaitement reconnue avec sa marque et caractéristique dans les paramètres du Mac. Les outils fournis ont la qualité suffisante pour la réparation. Dommage que la procédure ne soit qu'en anglais mais les photos des étapes sont très parlantes.

I have had my MacBook Pro since 2018, and its previous battery well-exceeded its recommended 800 cycles before it finally had to be retired. I purchased this kit hoping that I'd be able to revive my laptop and get a bit more life out of it.Pros:-Instructions were excellent. Full-color images and diagrams highlighted the exact parts to remove and which screwdrivers to use.-Color-coded screwdrivers made removing the (many) screws a breeze.-$10 voucher to purchase solvent (alcohol). I had some on hand so I didn't need it, but I appreciated the gesture.-Video instructions included. However, the paper guide is more than enough on its own.-Multiple tools included to remove the back panel and batteries.-Battery works perfectly. I don't expect to have an exact idea of the battery life for several cycles, but it's an immediate improvement over the previous one.Cons:-Spudger is easy to bend/damage.-The blue prying tool is also a bit flimsy.-Instructions do not include the process of removing the trackpad (which you should really do to avoid damaging it), and instead refer users to their YouTube videos.-No solvent included (due to shipping restrictions), so it's not immediately usable if you don't have that already available.Suggestions for optimal replacement process:-Obtain properly-sized gloves that won't compromise your grip or view during repair.-Obtain a dropper or syringe for applying the solvent to the adhesive.-Obtain a pair of tweezers for removing adhesive strips/board components.-Consider alternative solvents (Goo Gone and acetone also work. It should go without saying that none of these are safe to touch the logic board/trackpad).-Discharge the battery fully before attempting replacement.-Consult multiple tutorials.I would not consider myself a very tech-savvy person and I have never had to take apart a computer before this, but thanks to this kit my computer is alive and well with a much longer battery life. I'm very happy I was able to repair it at home in a few hours instead of sending it out for a week to the nearest Apple Store two hours from me. I would highly recommend it if you are in a similar situation!

細かい作業が不慣れでしたが、添付されている説明書と動画のリンクを見ながら1時間程度で交換ができました。しかしその後、起動してみるとファンが高速回転し動作が不安定になってしまい、色々試すも直らなくなりました。その後サポートに連絡すると、特定部位の接触不良を指摘され、その通りに直すとしっかりと動作するようになりました。製品もそうですが、アフターフォローの迅速さと内容に大満足です。

I ordered this kit to fix the MacBook Pro battery for my college student daughter and we got to step 19 before realizing THERE WAS NO BATTERY IN THE PACKAGE. Instructions, tools, plastic wedges are all there, but no battery!!! It’s so frustrating- how does that even happen?
