I baked some brownies (using parchment paper as a liner) and they turned out beautifully. Love this cast iron pan.

I spread the biscuit dough wall to wall in the pan, score the top and bake. The sides of the pan makes a skin on the biscuits. The corner biscuits have 2 skins. Just break each one free along the score marks. Delicious!!!!

This is an 8" square cast iron pan of excellent quality, pre-seasoned and the right size - not too big, not too small. And this square shaped pan has more cooking surface than a round one. I first planned to return this item but quickly changed my mind after I noticed it to be of very good quality and yes, the perfect size for my needs. I highly recommend this product.

Been getting my cast iron collection together and this is a welcomed addition! Cleaned off the black coating that came on it with baking soda vinegar and some steel wool. Seasoned it twice with avocado oil and made a perfect pineapple upside down cake. Also worth noting that it fits perfectly in the Coleman camp oven that I picked up this past winter. Only negative is there is no hole to hang it up on the wall.

I really like this convenient size that is easy to use. The quality is really good and everything I've cooked (mostly meat) has turned out great. I appreciated the instructions that came with it and I am following the advice given, since I am new to cooking with cast iron.

Got this pan two years ago because I wanted the square shape. I have several skillets, a 9x13 pan and a small 5” square pan. All are Lodge except for one pan that was my grandmother's Griswold from before 1957. This Bayou is the only one that rubbed off black every time I cleaned it and made apples and berries turn purple/blueish black when baked in it. I was about to toss it, but decided to reseason it despite it having come seasoned since it never got better with use. Seasoned it with safflower oil in a 450* oven for 30 minutes three times. Now the black is gone, it has a smoother surface (some complained it was rough) and I’m hopeful it will perform better going forward. There is simply nothing better, in my opinion, than good cast iron cookware. My Griswold pan is a testament to that.

This 8-inch by 8-inch cast iron pan is a great addition to your cast iron collection. It comes well-seasoned and ready for use after a quick first wash. The interior and exterior surface is a bit grainy - more so than Lodge pans generally are, for instance. The only downside of this, in my opinion, is that fibers from either cloth or paper towels will rub off onto the surface very easily. It's not a big deal if you use a little extra care and a light touch. Personally, I like the finish as it is very consistent and has a nice texture. It makes great "baked hamburgers" just the right size and is easy to clean. The design on the bottom is excellent, and the pan comes with detailed and clearly written care instruction. My only complaint is that there is no hole in either handle, so there's no easy way to hang the pan on a wall hook - unless you drill one yourself (which I don't want to do).

I use it in my smoker to hold smoking chips and bigger pieces. So much nicer than the piece of tin the smoker came with. Nice thick cast iron! Probably going to order another one or two
