Product Description

grilling gloves fireproof

Yes, You Need Grilling Gloves! They can save your hands, and your dinner.

Safety first! No one likes to scorch their hands and arms while grilling, Grilling gloves are heat-safe gloves that protect your hands (and, preferably, at least part of your forearms) from flames, sparks, and hot surfaces while cooking. Esie Houzie Grilling glove is made of aramid fibers, are capable of withstanding incredibly high temperatures, also have a slip-resistant silicone surface for grabbing a hot grill grate or a slippery piece of meat when necessary—and if you grill often enough, this would be a good option to consider.

Q: Are grill gloves necessary?

A: Grill gloves are very handy. When grilling or smoking, everything is hot, with gloves, you can just lift everything off the heat with your hands, factly it is much easier with hands than with most tools, especially if the gloves cover your forearms and hands. So, no, you don’t need grill gloves, But life is more pleasant with them.

Q: Do grilling gloves work?

A: Grill gloves are designed to protect your hands and wrists from extreme heat, and yes—they do work. Most grill gloves are made from aramid fiber (which used in firefighter suits), and have a heat rating of 932ºF or 1472ºF. While these gloves are only resistant to high temperatures for a few seconds, they can allow you to endure lower temperatures for longer periods of time.

Q: Do I need grill gloves? I already have a pair of oven gloves.

A: The glove-style oven mitts tend to lack the long cuffs good grilling gloves have. That means that if you use them over a hot grill or open fire there is a real possibility of singeing some arm hair. Outdoor cooking is a messy business, especially if you’re using charcoal or wood, using the same pair of gloves in the kitchen and at the grill will require a frequent and intense cleaning regimen.

BBQ MITT non slip

  • With flexible five fingers flex design, offering you a more precise grip so that you may incur fewer kitchen accidents.
  • Provide wrist and forearm coverage, the longer cuff make sure the forearms and hands were protected from potential heat and burns.
  • Both sides has the same silicone layer, so either glove works with either hand, a big help when you are hurrying to get something out of the oven or off the grill .

grill gloves aramid fiber

The three-layer design is comfortable and offered much more dexterity than full silicone, neoprene rubber, or suede and leather gloves.

  • The 1st silicone non-slip surface adds an extra layer of security, ensuring a firm grip on utensils and grill equipment.A
  • ramid is a synthetic material frequently used in making firefighting gear. It’s lightweight, feels more cloth-like than most commonly used materials, has high heat resistance, and is strong when resisting cuts.T
  • he 3rd layer is a separate inner white cotton glove which added not just a layer of protection against heat but made it very easy to slip the mitts on & off..

machine washable grill gloves

  • Machine washable.
  • Non-waterproof cloth, just remember to keep it dry before use.
  • Each glove has a fabric stitched in loop for hanging on a hook for out of the way storage, also quick access for use.

  • The 6.7"long cuffs keep your forearms from accidental contact burns.
  • You can feel warmth through them but nothing uncomfortable.
  • These are a must have when camping or having a fire in your back yard.

  • It's heat resistant doesn't mean it is fire-proof, if there is minor scorch mark after use, This didn’t affect their heat resistance at all, it just caused some discoloration.
  • Avoid using them directly on open flames and avoid prolonged exposure to high temperatures to prevent burns.

Really comes in handy and is a nice addition to have. The fit is nice especially if you have large hands. It protects a good portion of not just your hand but also your forearm. I will say that it's not the best when you need to actively be in the heat like if you're smoking meats, adding wood to the firebox or working with a lot of racks which requires you to spent your time, it will start to get overly hot. If you plan to get this for grilling, using with shorter tongs, oven use, etc. it works just fine with little to no issues.

Great for use on the grill to protect hands from heat. Whilst if you place your hand on a hot grill you will eventually feel the heat and presumably get burnt, it certainly helps and I’ve used it to turn over steaks.Just remember that the outside of the glove stays hot. Fitted my large hands well.Aramid is a heat resistant fiber often used for heat protection or insulation.

I ordered this glove mainly thinking that it would be a great help for getting my cast iron pans and dutch oven in and out of our huge oven without burning my arms, and of course when I grill. I have an "ove glove", but it doesn't come up beyond my wrist. This oven glove is nice and thick, with good silicone grippers ON BOTH SIDES! so you can wear it on your right or left hand and still have a good secure grip either way. It's flexible enough for grabbing utensils and handles (unlike many oven mitts and especially unlike silicone mitts). It comes up nearly to my elbow, offering great forearm protection (5'5" woman here). It's a really nice quality oven glove. The only thing is, my husband might get to use this more than I will, due to the large size. The hand and finger areas are just too big on me, even pulled up all the way, there is a good inch of empty space in the finger tips and I could fit another half of my hand in the width. I mistakenly thought since it is a knit, and a one-size-fits-most item, it should fit fine. I wear medium in single-use nitrile/ medical exam gloves, and medium in most women's fitted and gardening gloves (so definitely not tiny hands). And this large oven/grill glove, though awesome, is a little awkward for me.I did not deduct a star just because it is too big for me, it is really a great mitt. If you have larger hands, you will likely be very pleased with this glove. I would love to order myself a pair in a smaller size if it was available.

I received one glove to review so I can't attest to being able to pull casserole dishes from the oven but I believe I could certainly pull cookie sheets out with one hand. I tested this with bbq tongs over heat and I could NOT feel heat that would otherwise make me flinch without protection. Chicken pieces can sometimes take a bit of effort to grab and turn over at the back of the grill, and this is a game changer. I haven't had a fire going in awhile to test, but I would think this would also be excellent for holding a fire poker and moving logs around. Think I'll take this camping as well.At the time of ordering, this glove seems to come in one universal size. I have large hands for a woman, I usually wear a Men's Large glove, and this fit perfectly with rings on and long nails. And it's long enough that it came up high on my forearm and that kept the glove tight to my fingers. Glove pulled up tight on my forearm, which is not a burly man forearm, and I doubt I could pull it up over a long-sleeved shirt or thermal. Just offering that for sizing, although I suppose it could be stretched a bit if you tugged on it. (High forearm is 11" around, maybe that IS burly man size, lol)And unlike gloves that are made of all rubber or plastic and are too rigid to stay on or let you work with tools, this glove feels like a double-thick wool glove. I can actually use my bbq tongs, and I also tested flexibility by picking up a couple different knives, a long sushi knife and also a cleaver, and was able to use both with the glove on. For smaller tongs with small finger openings, you will have to use your bare hand to get the gloved fingers through the hand holes of the tongs. (Guessing you'd have to do that with most bbq gloves.) This is now my go-to BBQ glove, and I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this one for anyone who is looking for flexible protection in a large size glove. I will Update this review if longevity becomes a negative factor.

This is a nice glove. I not only use it when I'm grilling, but I used it to stoke the wood stove while I was boiling my maple sap. Invariably, every year, I have no hair on my right arm and hand as it gets singed off. This is the first year that hasn't happened. The glove provides excellent heat protection and is comfortable to use.

MY wife purchased this grill glove to go with my wood burning pizza oven. To be honest, I was skeptical due to my large hands (I wear a size 15 ring) and while many things claim to fit, they never do. The initial fit was challenging to get on, but after wearing it for a few minutes, the material relaxed and it was incredibly comfortable. The heat resistance was incredibly good and I was able to manipulate my pizzas in the oven without any excessive discomfort or scalding from the heat. The rubberized heat resistant grips do a great job and allow for secure control of cooking implements.
