When I got this I was very disappointed. I thought it was pricey for what I paid for and it looked so small. I gave it as a birthday gift to a child who loves weather. It was a hit. He loved it so much. He worked on it for hours.

I have a 6 y/o who recently became really interested in weather. We decided to purchase this as a Christmas gift to help her learn more about the science behind weather. It’s got all your basics — a thermometer, wind gauge, DIY barometer and supplies to make a tornado in a bottle. It’s a nice little starter kit for young kids who are just learning about weather and science, but it probably isn’t going to impress older kids. The quality is also okay. The DIY barometer is attached to a cardboard base, which is a bit flimsy. It really should be made of something stronger and less prone to water damage, given that filling it with water is part of the process. We also had some leaking with the tornado in a bottle, even with my husband tightening the bottles to make sure they were securely attached.

He is about anything to do with the weather. This was one more learning tool for him to understand the think he loves.

This kit is extremely cool on the surface. My son has been so excited for it and we even switched our curriculum around to do Weather now just so he could get at this kit.Unfortunately it's not all it's cracked up to be. The anemometer is awesome until it starts falling apart after a couple days of use, so you can't finish the log even. Same thing happened with the barometer. We thought it was working until 2 days in when the balloon completely deflated (and never reinflated, it's still sitting there). The thermometer never worked in the first place and I had to buy a separate one to use for the logThe only useful thing about this kit is the workbook. Honestly, buy your own thermometer, anemometer, barometer, and

Bought for hands on learning during homeschool for our kindergartner and it was a blast. She enjoyed the water bottle clouds, and was so excited for the rain gauge (sadly someone stole ours the night we set it out) but it was a great set.

Loved this kit! All the tools needed for our homeschool co-op class - meteorology! Experiments easy to follow and can be used along with the kids meteorology book (separate purchase) fun activities!
