Longer threads, not proper diameter, hex body much larger, green portion too long, threads too long!!Save yourself money and grief; Buy the Motorcraft SW6900. It's the proper factory switch and 5 bucks cheaper, and comes with the thread sealant!! I purchased the Mazda part at the dealer, and the switch was relabeled from the Motorcraft part from Ford, it came in a Motorcraft bag with a Mazda label placed over it.

My '07 Mazda 3 2.3 oil light came on. I knew the engine is tip top so I figured the pressure sensor was bad. Checked and there's was oil coming through the sensor and into the actual plug for the harness. Ordered this, came next day. Very simple repair. Added some pipe thread sealant and tightened it up. About as easy as it gets as the sensor is right at the top of the oil filter housing. You do need a rather large wrench, but that's all. 24mm did the trick.

Did not come with any thread sealant like many others.After spending more than 7 hours trying different ways to make this stop leaking oil the threads, I determined that the filter housing was cracked. So retracting my previous review and leaving it at "unknown" until I install the new housing.

This one has about a 1/4 inch longer threads making it impossible to spin it in and attach the connector with the clutch master in the way.I attached the plug, twisted it CCW a few rotations then spun the sensor into the hole CW (unwinding the twisted wire). Fixed the leaking/ faulty sensor and no more flicking oil light.

Fixed my oil leak. The old one leaked through the body of the pressure sender. It doesn’t have have any sealant on the thread, but didn’t seem to need any.
