If you look up keyless start issues with later model Nissans, the stop lamp switch seems to be a very common problem. My stop lamp switch was actually still working (ie the brake lights come on) but I still took it out, tapped it, took it apart to clean the metal contacts and reinstalled. Unfortunately my car still didn't start and this part didn't solve the problem so I will be returning it. My other gripe about this item is that it didn't solidly click into place with the quarter turn unlike the OEM Nissan version. Looks like my car's problem is a dead starter and/or starter solenoid.

This is the exact part I needed and I swear I could only find it on amazon! I went to three different car parts store and it wasn't there but amazon had it and super cheap!

Thought I'd save some money by avoiding dealership costs. Part didn't work and ended up buying from dealer.$20 gamble...
