The Beckson THIRSTY-MATE hand pump is manufactured in the U.S.A. of the finest materials available. It is self-priming and very easy to clean. This hand pump will not rust or corrode or mar your boat. If your THIRSTY-MATE hand pump becomes clogged, simply remove the foot valve assembly and clean out the inside. Spare parts such as replacement foot valve assemblies and hoses are readily available.

I use this on a Marine Concepts Sea Pearl 21 with water ballast. I had the standard size manual bilge pump and found that when trying to get water out single handed, it was awkward and because the pump was so short, the output hose was uphill and kept flopping back in the boat. This pump works perfect and pumps a lot more water on each throw too. Really glad I purchased and wish I hadn't waited so long. This is the ideal size as a backup for small 18-30 foot PHRF boats too, like Catalina, McGregor and similar
