Have I mention how much I love this? It’s easy to ease the tension and tighten it with out losing your place. In comparison with the tension bar on the first peg near the weaver, I lose placement from there. The rear tension bar, is awkward for me.I love it!!!

This sturdy loom serves our Sunday School program well. It stands up to kid-use and produces lovely inkles that are easy to weave. Kids find this work so gratifying that they spend half an hour or more focused on making strips that we use as maniples and decorations for candles, etc. Beka makes quality stuff.

This seems like a good loom, but it should be described as being unfinished. I'm in the process of staining and outing a matte finish on mine.

We had the loom shipped directly to the recipient; therefore, had not laid eyes on it until now. We took it out of the box, where it had remained for months. Next step:????? The loom came fully assembled, seemed quite solid and well-constructed; good to go! Now what? (Cue the crickets....) The accompanying literature was one sheet of paper with an amazingly poor-quality image of the loom all set up. Absolutely no information at all regarding making the heddles, winding on your first warp, non-etc., non-etc. Really irresponsible on someone's part to pack this item off, more than likely as a gift for a child, and have it come out of the box as a doorstop, an item of befuddled contemplation for everyone in the room. Here's a great gift-giving idea: also include a laptop with the loom. Internet videos will enable you to set up the loom so the kid can actually get to weaving.

Good loom, especially for beginners. This is the second inkle loom I have used. Not as heavy as I was expecting. Tends to lean to one side. Base is not heavy enough to keep it completely weighted down. But for the price, it was a good purchase and it does what it's supposed to do. I like the tensioner and it makes a nice, long strap. Directions included were not adequate for beginners, so would definitely recommend buying a book in addition to the loom. Inkle Weaving by Helene Bress is what I learned with, and it is an excellent source for beginners and experienced weavers alike.
