The construction is decent, the float for the top door is nice. Springs seem to have decent pressure on the openings.Overall the baskets seem a little smaller than others I got for the same price.

I have never used a fish basket like this before I have always just used a stringer but since we had all our fish stolen by an otter last year I thought I would give this a try to see if it would protect our catch.*it is collapsible so they are easy to carry*the wire cage is not the thickest wire but it seems of good quality and should keep the fish protected from a sneak attack but I'm sure if I let the otter play with it , that the otter most likely would be able to break through, But I think it will give me the time I need to pull it in from the water before that happens at least I hope*it has a nice spring loaded lid on the top that make it easy to drop the fish in and then it snaps shut and a spring laded opening on the bottom that can be opened up to empty the fish out when ready to clean.*The size is for medium size fresh water fish such as trout, perch, and etc. not really for bigger fishover all I am impressed with the quality and it is an improvement over using a stringer
