This little gadget is SUPER COOL. I must say, it's a bit clunky, to set up, but once it's good to go... it is GOLDEN.1. To set up, plug the long side of the wire into the device you want to mirror/output.2. Next up, plug in the power source to the side of the device.3. Lastly, plug in the short side of the wire into the device that you want to display to.Something to note though, you MUST make sure that the power source you use is outputting enough power that's adequate to support the device that you're trying to mirror/output (the long side of the wire). For example, I was trying the Nintendo Switch and was using a regular smart phone FAST charger thinking it'd be enough. NOPE, didn't work. I had to use the proper Switch charger adapter. I'd imagine with the Steam Deck, same thing... must use the Steam Deck's charger, etc., so definitely be mindful about the device that you intend to use and that you are powering it up with the official or equivalent power supply. In my set up, I sent it to the signal to display onto my Meta Quest 3 and it was AWESOME. There's an app on the Quest 3 called "HDMI LINK" (or something like that), where once a signal is received which in my case was the Switch, it prompted me with some setting options and once confirmed, WHOA AND BEHOLD a 100+ inch display of Mario & Zelda GOODNESS! There were very few artifacts, if any, and for the most part the display on my Quest 3 looked practically as good as on the TV.The downside about this set up, at least for me as a Quest 3 user is that because the source device must be powered on (at least for the case for the Switch), that you must be tethered to the power source. So in terms of mobility, not ideal.A second downside is although the set up works, the set up is clunky, at least for the case of the Quest 3 set up. I just wish it was a little easier to manuever and move around the wires, etc. for a cleaner look but nah... not possible.Overall, the device still works great and the quality of the reproduced video is smooth and looks good. The set up and requirement for a separate power supply is less than ideal, but the goods definitely still outdoes the minor inconveniences. If you're looking for a way to output your USB-C device to another USB-C display, then look no further as this cool little device gets the job done practically perfectly. Recommended 100%.

I am new to video capture card. I want to record my iPad screen to my Windows 11 PC. While you surely know the USB only port is input (namely to my iPad), the other one with USB-A adapter should be the output (namely to my PC laptop), and the USB-C power input in the middle of the cable is optional. However, to get the setup work you need to know much more:1. You can connect the output to ANY USB C or USB-A ports of your laptop. Yes, any USB port, either a typical USB-A, USB-C, or even thunderbolt UCB-C (which can project laptop screen to a monitor), works. Originally I had thought only the latter works. No, ANY USB port on your laptop work. I used the USB A port that I reserve for the USB hub where I typically insert mouse/keyboard receivers.2. Once you connect the three parties: ipad (or whatever you want to export), cable, and PC, you can tell on the iPad that it connects to something (see my 1st screenshot, it shows a projector screen on the top right corner and also a "HDMI to USB" in the pull down menu. No idea why it mentions "HDMI").3. Windows 11 won't automatically pop up a screen to show the iPad. You must install a video capture app to display the iPad screen on PC. I highly recommend OBS studio, which is an open source, free, and reputable software. You surely can google another similar software as well.4. Create a new source. I chose "Video capture device", other option might also work. Double click it and select "USB3" as the source (guess "USB3" must be the cable product's name). Now you are ready to record. I didn't spend much time on it so I don't know exactly how to remove those unwanted black background, but you bet you can optimize what I mention here. All in all, this product works but need lots of info as mentioned above. I am confident it will do what I want, so I give it 5 star. So long as the price looks reasonable, I recommend it.

There was zero configuration or setup required to use this. I just pluged one end into the source, the other end into my computer, and attached a power adapter in the middle. There are arrows on the device to show you which way the video "flows".I was able to use it with most devices I tested it with:- SteamDeck- iPhone- iPad- Windows PC- MacBook ProThe Nintendo Switch was the one device that I couldn't make it work with. While it would be nice if I could use it with my Switch, I can understand why it might not, as the Switch is notorious for having a non-standard USB-C video implementation; so I don't really hold that against this device. On the recieving side, I was able to use it with both my Windows PC and my Mac. The device showed up as a video source immediately upon connecting. I was able to use it in- OBS- QuickTime Player- WebEx- Zoomand any other video-related app I could throw at it.The video was identical to the source to my eye, and was very low latency. All-in-all, this is a really useful adapter, and I see myself using it quite a bit in the future.

Amazon has a lot of brands that focus on selling capture cards, USB hubs, cables, and the like, but I've found most of them to be rather hit-or-miss. BENFEI is a brand I've been noticing a lot lately, and I'm routinely satisfied with their products, finding them to be a consistent source of good items. This item is a capture card: a common item to find, but many I've tried have had their deficiencies. This one functions as promised, but its biggest selling point for me is the bonus power delivery system. I normally use capture cards for recording nintendo switch gameplay, but it can be cumbersome to set up my switch to stream if it's only going to be for a short period. Charging being built in to this capture card makes my experience easier, and is something I haven't yet seen. Overall, yet another product I'm satisfied with from BENFEI.

This worked as expected, straight out of the box. I connected the input USB-C to my iPad and the output to my MacBook and was immediately able to start capturing the video output from the iPad in OBS Studio. The PD input also correctly powered my iPad once connected to an appropriate power supply. This may currently have fewer applications than other capture cards as it does not have an HDMI input, but if your video source uses USB-C, this avoids the need to have a separate dongle to convert from USB to HDMI.At £17.99, this appears to be relatively competitively priced, so if you have an appropriate use and the specs meet your requirements, I can recommend it.

Consigliata!
