I like this bag a lot, but I don't love it. It's easy enough to install by just pushing the roof up a little bit to wrap the straps around the top tubes, but the velcro doesn't line up very well considering the diameter of the tubes. My main beef though is that the bag is slightly larger than the space between the tubing, so you have to smoosh it a little bit to fit in the space. By doing so though, it's difficult (or impossible?) to work the zippers because of the slack. I ended up just leaving the zipped edge unzipped. It's kind of a funny bag, shaped more like a laptop accessory than a SxS storage bag. Here's how we use ours though:- While we're riding, I keep a soft cloth up there so I can grab it easily to quickly wipe my helmet's visor, my iPad (used for navigation), and my instrument cluster.- When we're parked someplace for lunch/drinks, I slide my iPad up there to make it less visible and more safe. I also stash my ignition key up there to make it less visible. I'm more paranoid about the key falling out of my pocket and getting stranded than I am of theft, so it feels like a good compromise to me to stash it up there. So for about fifty bucks, I gained myself someplace to stash a dust cloth for the rides and a "safe" spot to stash the iPad and key when we're stopped. I can't say this was a bargain, but this was a freebie for me I don't regret picking it. (Any of the reviews with the green "Vine" notice attached also received this bag for free.)Three-stars feels pretty fair for a bag that doesn't fit very well and can't be easily zipped (or EVER zipped).

If you have an X3, I don't need to explain the lack of cargo room to you. This bag nicely fills the void in the factory roll cage and provides storage that is easy to get to while seated--it's perfect for sunglasses and such. The outside of the bag has a clear zippered pocket for holding maps or other documents you need to easily see while driving. To install you will have to remove your roof and then use the straps to hold the bag in place. Unfortunately the straps are too long and velcro doesn't line up as well as it should. This may be why the bag doesn't sit as tightly as I'd like and it requires two hands to open the bag--one on the zipper and the other on the pull tab. Having this bag installed will make putting the roof on a bit trickier as there's not much room for the roof tabs between the bag and the cage. Placing the roof vertically and rolling it back into place seems to work best.Overall, I like this bag and it's going to stay on the machine. It's nice to have the storage up and out of the way and out of the dirt. It's also almost unnoticeable if you're not looking for it.

Easily installed, this roof-mounted storage is well built, and the zipper looks like it's gonna last. The perfect size for smaller items and tools. I have no complaints about this overhead bag!

Lots of pockets, worked great in a smaller side-by-side; versatile mounting system. Great value for the price.
