Received the package pretty quickly but I haven’t even gotten the bag to the Jeep yet and the velcro on the opening is already coming off. For the price and supposed durability you’d think it would be higher quality. Would not recommend unless you have super glue ready to piece it bag together.

I wish I had the same experience as others who have not had water intrusion issues, but I bought two of these bags and have had them exposed to various degrees of water and the result is always the same - I end up with somewhere between a couple tablespoons and a half cup of water inside.Sitting out in a gentle rain with the bag filled full enough to prevent water from pooling into the zipper and I still ended up with slightly damp clothing near the top. In the back of a side by side with water splashing and landing in the bed and there was enough leakage to ruin a paper trail map. In a heavy rain with the bag less than full and they will sag and direct water to the zipper and you get a significant amount of water (half cup or so).I am not sure if there is a product that can be applied to the zipper to improve the water resistance but as is, they are a good bag for keeping a lot of gear clean and dust free, just not dry unfortunately.

This bag spent three weeks strapped down on my Jeep’s rack during a tent camping trip thru Southern Utah hitting Capitol Reef, Canyonlands, and Arches NPs.The outside of this bag was completely covered with dust and dirt but my clothes inside were clean (well, the ones not being worn). There is a strip of Velcro between the outside air that did a pretty good job of keeping the zippers clean so they didn’t jam up to hard. The main zipper doesn’t feel waterproof, but I imagine the Velcro would stop flowing water...to an extent. I don’t think it would survive a full on submersion event, but it would definitely hold up for a while.The bag was rained on with a couple light rainstorms, but nothing too heavy. When I got home, a rinse off with a garden hose and it cleaned up just fine. It did a great job, survived some abuse, scuffed but no rips or holes. The rubberized material massively softens under sun, so check the tension on your lashings.

We have 2 of these and have put them to great use so far in rainy conditions. We put our clothes and camping bedding in them and strap them to the roof rack, and no leaks or issues at all! We even have left one just outside our tent with extra shoes/clothes that don't need to be in the tent with us overnight. Extra benefit: after a particularly dusty drive home once, we just hosed them down in the backyard to get all the dirt off before bringing them inside to unpack.

Road my motorcycle on a 3000 mile journey with this bag strapped to the luggage rack and sissy bar. The second day was 10 hours of what the news called a torrential downpour. This bag kept all of my things nice and dry the whole trip. Not one drop of water in the bag.
