This is a very simple one-piece holder to mount on a wall to hold your EV charger between charging sessions. It has two mounting holes in the back of the base, positioned vertically. This means you can mount it on the edge of a single 2x4, but I think it would be more stably mounted if there were more screw holes.My J-1772 charger fits in the holder, and does stay in place, but it's a little wigglier than in the holder I've used previously, mounted at my old house.

My Level 2 home charger did not come with a built-in holster or an external holster. Got this holster and it exceed my expectations. It is made in Spain and the quality is exceptional. Very happy with the purchase.

This is just like a hose hanger for your ev charger cable; it mounts with a couple of screws and then you can wrap the cord over it and plug the cable in so it looks neat... before this I had just used a gear hook from the hard ware store that worked fine but this looks a little neater.

I got this through Amazon Vine, and like many people, I need to store my charging cord in direct sunlight. The plastic this is made from feels like it may be polystyrene or polycarbonate, even though it says ABS in the listing.ABS unfortunately likely won't last when exposed to sunlight, and neither will polystyrene- I should have read the listing more deeply before I took it out of the box and realized it probably won't survive more than a year in the sun.Aside from that, which might be considered my error (although anything like this really should be made of durable UV resistant plastic), I am not very thrilled with the fit- the Lectron, OpenEVSE, and several others give me confidence they won't break if jostled or bumped accidentally.I think if you plan on mounting this indoors, away from the sun, and you like the look- it's a fine choice. I just think maybe the value for the money isn't great, even though it looks better on the wall than most other options.

Maybe I got lucky but my order arrived with Hardware (pair of 5x40mm screws and anchors). I only needed to use the screws since it was getting installed on an outdoor wood fence. Worked like a charm. Purchased this additional unit, since my parking spot is tight with the obvious obstacle in the way (see with and without obstacle); with the 25ft OEM charging chord and location of my EV’s charging port, I wanted to have the convenience of not having to maneuver around the obstacle everyday. Went ahead and installed the additional Charging Holster and it makes my daily routine so much better. Well worth the $25 spent on this unit & installed in 5 mins. Before and After pics included.

Works great. Allows me to store extra cable and the charge connector on the other side of the garage. I was limited where I could connect my charger to 220 volt, but it has enough cable to span across the wall to the other end where the charge port of my car is located when parked in the garage. This lets me keep the charge connector and the extra slack where my charge port is located.Just make sure you lift the J1772 handle upward to allow it to attach to the cradle so the J1772 latch can connect and hold in place.
