The twist dial adjustment for fit is becoming a standard in helmets. Gave this Hudson model 4 stars because its not perfect as the helmet has a tendency to slid farther down on my forehead than wanted. Its comfortable & the flip up visor is a nice feature. Rechargeable led bar in the back that pops in. Its the 1st helmet I'm wearing on every ride because of the E Bike speed.

Meps helmet essential for my E bike prevents concussion in the unfortunate event of a crash.

I'm not sure why the hi viz yellow is literally half the price of the sand color but that's why I ordered the yellow. Immediately super comfortable and breathable. I ordered the large and it fits my head like it was fitted. I have a huge head, I typically wear size 8 hats but I think a proper fit would be 7-7/8 for context. Not very certain about safety but it seems to have all the proper certifications and from what I researched, Bern is a reputable brand. Couldn't do better for my commute on my ebike. The light is a neat touch, but not very useful for night rides other than the fact the red does also stand out. Just perfect for me.

My old eblke helmet is nine years old. It's an earlier-generation Bern helmet, an Alston. I've replaced the liner a couple of times already, and after nine years (and getting a much more powerful ebike recently) I wanted to upgrade to something with better torsional protection. The low-friction MIPS liner provides that torsional protection, by allowing the helmet to rotate slightly in any axis during an impact, without coming off of your head. This profoundly reduces torsional trauma to the brain, helping to prevent concussion and TBI.That's the safety-wonk benefit. The comfort benefit is that this helmet largely floats above my noggin and allows much better ventilation. It's profoundly cooler than my previous-gen Bern helmet, and it has less liner fabric to get soaked with sweat on hot days.I'm also a fan of the simple integrated (but removable) USB-rechargable tail light. It's got three or four modes (I just set it on 'blink' and forget it) and the battery gets me to work and back for two commutes before I think about charging it up again. It's not the cheapest e-bike rated helmet out there, but it's competitively priced and packed with features. Bern also has a good history of building durable helmets and supporting them for years.I'm very satisfied with mine, and I look forward to using it for many years.

My favorite summer helmet for ebiking. Comfortable. The visor is barely glued on and will need to be reinforced if you actually flipping it regularly. Fits great. Comfortable.

The visor head padding used to encircle your whole head and snap in with sturdy metal snaps in bern helmets and this new style just attaches with very weak adhesive and Velcro and only in the front of the helmet. The visor Velcro attachment points came off of the inside almost immediately and kept creeping into my eyes while riding. I had to remove the Velcro points and reattach them with superglue. My head is within the range of the Large size and the helmet seems to be shaped for non human heads. Human heads are slightly elliptical but this helmet is just a big circle so it’s far too loose on the sides and in order to get it so it doesn’t move you have to crank the dial in the rear far too tight. The light on the back is nice though.

One of the best helmets around. Safe, comfy and posh. The read LED light is an additional bonus.

Bref passer votre chemin.

I recently started commuting on a scooter to work, and wanted a helmet for both night visibility and that looked "adult". This meets both criteria. The LED red light is bright, and offers a strobe and flash mode for high visibility. It is also detachable and is recharged through micro-usb (not usb C sadly). The helmet features the MIPS impact system, a big plus for me. Good to know that if I take a tumble what little brains I have will remain somewhat unscrambled. This system works by having a thin plastic lining in the helmet that shifts on impact, allowing the helmet to absorb more rotational force than a traditional helmet. This stops the impact energy from being directly transferred into your head, and therefore your brain (not good!). Very important.I also was surprised at how well the visor does at keeping the sun out of my eyes during my morning commute. The way the helmet sits (at least on me) is just above my eyebrows on the front, so the visor is perfectly positioned to keeping my eyes in the shade. The visor is also removable and they include a separate velcro comfort strap to take its place that also does a great job of soaking up your sweat. The fit system this helmet uses is a very friendly harness system with twist knob. Simply tighten the knob to get the perfect fit on your head (you still need to get the correct size helmet of course). No fiddling with a bunch of straps and tightening/loosening and hoping you got it right. You will feel this thing grip the occipital knob on the back of your head and KNOW it is in the correct spot.Overall, well worth the money for an easy to use and very safe helmet with multiple great safety features!
