I have to constantly adjust the flame every 15 minutes. It won't burn constantly at the same temperature. It will burn out or just go to a super low flame. I have to keep checking it every 15 minutes for a 4 hour cook. I would not recommend this to leave unattended.

This is really nice to have when camping. It will heat up a skillet or pot of water easily. We have had no issue with functionality. It is very heavy and does get quite hot so be sure to keep any little hands far away. Easy to connect to a propane tank and use.

Great quality product, really produces heat, we will see how the regulator holds up but everything fit and works great rite out of the box.

I have an old green Coleman white gas stove that I don't use anymore. I want to move to propane. I find I can repurpose the old green "briefcase" Coleman stove by removing its old burners, and installing this new burner head, and I can still keep the original grill in place. Now I will have lots and lots of controllable heat without needing to do any liquid fuel transfer or pumping.

I'm used to turning valves counter clockwise to turn on and clockwise to turn off (righty tighty, lefty loosy). This one is reversed from that. I don't think that's a big deal (would that be a "gib laed"?) for me, but it might bother some. I dinged this one star for it, but if it would bug you, please be advised in advance.Anyway, once I went with the "if it stops turning it's off / if I'm turning it, it's turning on" mentality, this fired right up. I used the butterfly at the back to adjust how the flame breathes and it really got hot and the flame stayed blue. This should work great for frying turkeys, brewing beer, or doing a crab boil.Item Reviewed:BESTFIRE High Pressure Cast-Iron Propane Burner Head,Round Burner Head with 20 PSIG Adjustable High Pressure Propane Regulator with Hose and Brass Fitting for Propane Burner Head for Cooking OutdoorBESTFIRE High Pressure Cast-Iron Propane Burner Head,Round Burner Head with 20 PSIG Adjustable High Pressure Propane Regulator with Hose and Brass Fitting for Propane Burner Head for Cooking Outdoor

I ordered this propane burner to rebuild a propane cooker that was just unusable. That burner consumed large quantities of propane, produced a jet turbine-like screech, and yet took forever to heat a large kettle of water. That system is a very bad design. This propane burner head is a conventional, round burner design and it is supplied with a propane hose assembly. The burner is made of cast iron and is quite heavy. It utilizes a brass gas venturi fitting with a flare connection and an adjustable air shutter system to mix the propane (or LP) gas for combustion. The mixed gas is forced down the burner neck for distribution to the burner ring and out the burner jets for combustion. The burner is designed with four threaded feet cast into the bottom of the burner. These feet are designed to be used to secure the burner into the propane cooker assembly with bolts or screws, as desired. The propane hose assembly has an Acme nut to attach to a propane tank. The Acme nut is connected to an adjustable 20 PSI propane regulator with a four-feet long propane hose. The propane hose connects to the venturi using a brass flare connection to the venturi fitting.I tested the system using a 20-pound propane tank. Everything worked as expected. No propane leaks were detected in the propane hose assembly. The burner is absolutely controllable for everything from a very small flame suitable for keeping a large pot of Chili warm to a GET IT HOT NOW! flame for getting the oil in a turkey fryer up to cooking temperature. The sound produced was about what I expected and was nothing like the ear-shattering screech sound produced by the jet burner this system will be replacing. There was no indication that the flame could be blown out by anything except a hurricane-force wind. This product works well and does everything expected of it. I only wish that this was the burner that had been built into the system I will now be re-building.
