I bought this as a second charger. Worked the first time and have not had any problems. It has a LED light that glows red or green to let you know if it is charging (red) of has completed (Green). I have now idea if this will be useful for someone who is red/green color blind. And yes, there are people who cannot tell the difference. They are the ones who slow down before going through an intersection.

I'm not sure how someone can screw up what is essentially an AC to DC power supply and a cradle.It works fine for my UV-5R.

Had to wiggle the radio just a bit when placing it in to make it start charging but it's a snug fit and working
